Blake Fiddler (born July 9, 2007) is an American junior ice hockey defenseman playing for the Edmonton Oil Kings in the Western Hockey League (WHL). He was selected 36th overall by the Seattle Kraken in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft.
Fiddler was born in Nashville, Tennessee, at a time when his father, Vernon, was playing in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Nashville Predators. [1]
In the 2023–24 season, Fiddler tallied five goals and ten assists over 63 games with the Edmonton Oil Kings. In his draft-eligible 2024–25 season, he improved his performance, scoring ten goals and adding 23 assists in 64 regular-season games, along with one assist in seven playoff contests. [2]
In the 2025 NHL Entry Draft, Fiddler was chosen early in the second round, going 36th overall to the Seattle Kraken. [3] [4]

Fiddler possesses dual citizenship, holding both Canadian and American nationality. He made his first appearance on the international stage in 2023 when he played for Canada White at the World U-17 Hockey Challenge. Throughout eight games, Fiddler contributed one goal and played a key role in his team's overall success, helping them capture the gold medal and solidifying his reputation as a rising star in the sport. Fiddler captained the United States team at the 2024 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, contributing one goal and three assists over five games.
