Blank-Wave Arcade Remixes is a limited 12-inch picture-disc remix album by American band The Faint, issued on May 29, 2000, by Saddle Creek as catalog number LBJ-33 and co-released by Blood of the Young (young-015). [2] [3] The record compiles nine remixes of songs from the group's 1999 album Blank-Wave Arcade. [3] It received a listing on AllMusic, [1] and several of its era remixes were later included on the 2025 Blank-Wave Arcade (Deluxe Edition) reissue program from Saddle Creek. [4] [5]
Saddle Creek's label discography documents LBJ-33 as a picture-disc "Blank-wave Arcade Remix Album" issued between the band's Blank-Wave Arcade (LBJ-28) and Danse Macabre (LBJ-37). [2] MusicBrainz gives a U.S. release date of May 29, 2000 and a total running time of 34:31. [3] Contemporary retail and collector sources describe the edition as limited; Discogs lists 1,100 copies pressed (with eight test pressings). [6] Official uploads from Saddle Creek refer to the twelve-inch as "long out of print." [7]
All nine tracks are remixes of the Blank-Wave Arcade song set. Remix credits documented by MusicBrainz include The New Gender, AJ/DJ, The Totally Kill Me, Transistor 3, The Laces, ][m, Recordist, Soft Curve, and S. Krolikowski. [3] Saddle Creek's 2024–2025 reissue campaign issued several of these mixes under explicit remixer attributions—for example "Call Call (Transistor3 Remix)" and "Worked Up So Sexual (The Laces Remix)". [4] [5]
AllMusic lists the release and assigns a 2.5/5 rating. [1]
Selections from the original remix twelve-inch were reintroduced on the 2025 two-LP Blank-Wave Arcade (Deluxe Edition) alongside a new 2024 self-remix by the band, live tracks, and contemporaneous rarities. [4] [5]
