Blessing Chimezie Didia is a Nigerian medical doctor, professor of Anatomy and politician from Omerelu, Rivers State. From 1991 to 1993, he was Chairman of Ikwerre local government area, [1] and as of 2018, is the Vice-Chancellor of Rivers State University

Otonti Amadi Nduka is a Nigerian educationalist and Ikwerre ethnic nationality spokesman. He is married to Pamela Nduka and together they have five children. Otonti and his wife are still currently residing in Nigeria. They celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary in 2018.

The distance between Elele and Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers, is roughly 42 kilometers distant. It takes 445 kilometers to get from Elele to Abuja, the capital of Nigeria.

Ibibio is the native language of the Ibibio people of Nigeria, belonging to the Ibibio-Efik dialect cluster of the Cross River languages. The name Ibibio is sometimes used for the entire dialect cluster. In pre-colonial times, it was written with Nsibidi ideograms, similar to Igbo, Efik, Anaang, and Ejagham. Ekpeye is one of many languages spoken in Rivers State, Nigeria. According to Roger Blench, Ekpeye is classified as an Igboid language. Although an Igboid language, Ekpeye has evolved to a very distinct Igboid language that is phonologically different from other Igboid languages. The Engenni, Ogba and Ikwerre languages are closely related to Ekpeye. Ekpeye has many mutually intelligible dialects.

Igwuruta is a town in Ikwerre Local Government Area, Rivers State, Nigeria. It is made up of 9 villages;Igwuruta-Ali, Omuodukwu, Omunobo, Omuchi, Omuohia, Omueke, Agboga, Omumah and Omuwie. It is located near Omagwa, a community hosting the Port Harcourt International Airport. Its geographic coordinates are: 4°57′15″N7°0′45″E. with a population of 50,000 people. Schools found around this area include: Brookstone School Secondary, Charles Dale Memorial International School, Springflowers International Schools, Queens International High School, Ozulems International Montessori School, Beryl Education Centre and Evidence Bloom School. Igwuruta is roughly 20 km/12 miles from Port Harcourt.

The Rivers State Ministry of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation is a government ministry of Rivers State, Nigeria entrusted with the implementation of programs and the provision of social, rehabilitative services to improve the physical, social, emotional and economic well-being of the disadvantaged groups in the state. The Ministry is currently headed by Commissioner of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Mrs. Inime Chinwenwo-Aguma.

Boniface Sunday Emerengwa is a Nigerian lawyer and People's Democratic Party politician. He represents Ikwerre-Emohua constituency in the House of Representatives of Nigeria, a post he was elected to in March 2015. Emerengwa has served as Rivers State Budget and Economic Planning Commissioner. He is also a former Chairman of Ikwerre local government area in the state.

Andrew Igbonule Uchendu is a Nigerian politician. He is currently a member of the Senate of Nigeria representing the Rivers East senatorial district. He had always been a member of the People's Democratic Party until 2014 when he switched allegiance to the All Progressives Congress party. Between 2003 and 2015, he represented the Ikwerre–Emohua constituency in the Federal House of Representatives.

The 2023 Nigerian presidential election in Rivers State will be held on 25 February 2023 as part of the nationwide 2023 Nigerian presidential election to elect the president and vice president of Nigeria. Other federal elections, including elections to the House of Representatives and the Senate, will also be held on the same date while state elections will be held two weeks afterward on 11 March.

Mile One Market, Port Harcourt is a multipurpose market located at Diobu metropolis in Port Harcourt, the capital City of River State, Nigeria. The market is known for selling a variety of products, including food, clothing and electronics. In 2013, the Mile One Market, which is located along Ikwerre Road in Port Harcourt, was razed down by the fire. This led to loss of goods worth millions of Naira.
