British Hit Singles & Albums was a music reference book originally published in the United Kingdom by the publishing arm of the Guinness breweries, Guinness Superlatives. Later editions were published by HiT Entertainment. It listed all the singles and albums featured in the Top 75 pop charts in the UK. In 2004 the book became an amalgamation of two earlier Guinness publications, originally known as British Hit Singles and British Hit Albums. The publication of this amalgamation ceased in 2006, with Guinness World Records being sold to The Jim Pattison Group, owner of Ripley's Believe It or Not!. At this point, the Official UK Charts Company teamed up with Random House/Ebury Publishing to release a new version of the book under the Virgin Books brand. Entitled The Virgin Book of British Hit Singles, it was first published in November 2008 with a separate albums book and second edition being published over the next couple of years.
Dhar Braxton, is a female house music singer. In 1986, she had a #1 hit single on the US Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart with the song, "Jump Back ." Braxton is not related to, nor a member of, The Braxtons singing group. She is the younger daughter of singer Byrdie Green. Braxton also recorded another single for Sleeping Bag Records titled "Illusions." She contributed on Chocolette's "E Street Beat" prior to starting her solo career. Braxton's recordings were licensed to 4th & B'way Records in the UK.
"Another Suitcase in Another Hall" is a song recorded by Scottish singer Barbara Dickson, for the 1976 concept album Evita, the basis of the musical of the same name. The musical was based on the life of Argentinian leader Eva Perón. Written by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber, the song is presented during a sequence where Eva throws her husband's mistress out on the streets. The latter sings the track, wondering about her future and concluding that she would be fine. The songwriters enlisted Dickson to record the track after hearing her previous work.
The Equals are an English pop, R&B and rock group formed in North London in 1965. They are best remembered for their million-selling chart-topper "Baby, Come Back", though they had several other chart hits in the UK and Europe. Eddy Grant founded the group with John Hall, Pat Lloyd, and brothers Derv and Lincoln Gordon, and they were noted as being "the first major interracial rock group in the UK" and "one of the few racially mixed bands of the era".
Belle and the Devotions were a British pop group, ostensibly a group named after the singer Kit Rolfe. Under this name, she released the singles "Where Did Love Go Wrong?" and "Got to Let You Know" in 1983.

The B-side of the 7" version was "Don't Burn Down the Bridge", with the 12" having an additional instrumental version.

David Austin is a British singer and songwriter, who released the single "Turn to Gold", co-written with George Michael in 1984. It reached No. 68 in the UK Singles Chart. The membership of The Band AKA was fluid throughout their existence and essentially they were creation of their producer and songwriter Jaeson James Jarrett.
Band of Gold was a Dutch male and female vocal/instrumental group, who released a single called "Love Songs are Back Again (Medley)", which reached the UK Singles Chart. It was written and produced by Paco Saval when it was recorded in 1981 and released on the RCA label. It entered the UK chart on 14 July 1984 and peaked at #24, remaining on the chart for 11 weeks.

"In Your Eyes" is a song by American singer George Benson, released as a single in 1983. It entered the UK Singles Chart on 24 September 1983 and reached a peak position of number 7. The song remained on the chart for 10 weeks. It was written by Michael Masser (music) and Dan Hill (lyrics), and was initially recorded by Hill for his 1983 album Love in the Shadows. It was also covered by Jeffrey Osborne in 1986. Hill would re-record the song in 1993 as a duet with Rique Franks, on the album Let Me Show You - Greatest Hits and More.

Elbow Bones and the Racketeers was an American big band-era styled male/female vocal group, created by August Darnell, and best known for their hit single "A Night in New York", written by Ron Rogers and Deborah Clarkin, and released on the EMI label. It was sung by Stephanie Fuller. It entered the UK Singles Chart on 14 January 1984. It remained in there for nine weeks, reaching #33.
The Bouncing Czecks were a British male vocal/instrumental cabaret group, made up of Ricky Piper (vocals), Brian Bowles (guitar), Richard Lee, Gerry Hale (violin) and Warren Wills (piano). Their one chart success was a novelty single called "I'm a Little Christmas Cracker" in the UK Singles Chart, featuring Charlene Ducall on vocals. It was released on the RCA label, entered the chart on 29 December 1984, and peaked at number 72; it was in the chart for one week.
Gary Byrd and the GB Experience was an American male/female vocal/instrumental group.
"Tottenham, Tottenham" was a single released by the English football team Tottenham Hotspur, with uncredited accompaniment by Chas & Dave, in 1982. It reached number 19 in the UK Singles Chart.
