Beaumont is a city in the U.S. state of Texas. It is the seat of government of Jefferson County, within the Beaumont–Port Arthur metropolitan statistical area, located in Southeast Texas on the Neches River about 85 miles (137 km) east of Houston. With a population of 115,282 at the 2020 census, Beaumont is the largest incorporated municipality by population near the Louisiana border. Its metropolitan area was the 10th largest in Texas in 2020, and 130th in the United States.

Andrew Carnegie Vanguard High School, named after Andrew Carnegie, is located in the Fourth Ward of Houston, Texas near Downtown and was formerly located in Sunnyside. The school serves grades 9-12 and is part of the Houston Independent School District. It is the only High School Vanguard Program in HISD meaning that all students are labelled as gifted and talented by testing and the school has students take all Advanced Placement core classes as part of its curriculum.
The Beaumont Civic Center, in downtown Beaumont, Texas, is a 6,500-seat arena where concerts, conventions, trade shows and exhibitions are held. Banquet maximum capacity is 2,000. Texas A&M–San Antonio has 161 full and part-time faculty. Texas A&M–San Antonio is the first Texas A&M University System institution to be established in a major urban center.
Texas A&M University–Central Texas is a public university in Killeen, Texas. It is one of the newest members of The Texas A&M University System. Founded in 1999 as a branch of Tarleton State University, it became an independent member of the Texas A&M University System in September 2009. A&M-Central Texas is an upper division college, meaning its students must complete their freshman and sophomore-level coursework at a two-year college or other institution of higher education. Texas A&M–Central Texas primarily serves non-traditional students: The average age of the student body is 34, 40% of students are affiliated with the US military, and most students attend part-time. Texas A&M–Central Texas' students are known as the Warriors, and the school colors are navy blue, maroon, and silver. The university has a main campus, an extension building in north Killeen, and a site location on the United States Army post at Fort Cavazos.
The Dishman Art Museum is an art museum on the campus of Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. Admission to the museum is completely free; the gallery is open from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday - Friday. The museum also serves as a teaching facility in the Art Department at Lamar University. Exhibitions change monthly. The gallery features one-person exhibition of contemporary artists, group exhibitions of contemporary artists, Art Department faculty shows, graduating senior shows, a national competition, artist-in-residency, Grand Bal, and High School Scholarship exhibitions. There are three gallery spaces - Upper Gallery, Lower Gallery, and the Heinz and Ruth Eisenstadt Collection which consists of 150 19th-century paintings and 250 porcelains and objets d'art. The exhibition space totals 6,000 square feet (560 m2).
Frassati Catholic High School is a private, Catholic coeducational secondary school located in unincorporated Harris County, Texas, near the Spring CDP and in Greater Houston. Frassati Catholic High School is administered by the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia Congregation from Nashville, Tennessee. The patron saint of this school is Pier Giorgio Frassati. It was the first Catholic high school to be established in the northern portion of Greater Houston.
Beaumont United High School is a public high school in Beaumont, Texas. It is one of two high schools in the Beaumont Independent School District, serving its eastern half, and was established in fall 2018 by the merger of Clifton J. Ozen High School and Central High School. United uses the former Ozen campus, and the new school offers all of the courses offered at the former schools. The students of Ozen and Central voted on the school name, colors, and team name.
George I. Sanchez Charter Schools is a state charter secondary school system in Houston, Texas, operated by the Association for the Advancement of Mexican Americans. It operates George I. Sanchez Charter School, also known as George I. Sanchez High School; and George I. Sanchez Charter School North. They are located in the East End and Northside, respectively. As of 2003 the schools cater to students who experienced difficulties at other schools.
Pro-Vision Academy, is a state-authorized charter school in the Sunnyside area of Houston, Texas. A co-educational facility, it serves grades 3 through 12. It is one of the components of Pro-Vision, Inc., which also operates an after-school program and an aquaponics facility.
