The Sydney Swans are a professional Australian rules football club based in Sydney, New South Wales. The men's team competes in the Australian Football League (AFL), and the women's team in the AFL Women's (AFLW). The Swans also field a reserves men's team in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Robert William Sandeman Strachan was an Australian rules footballer who played for Collingwood in the Victorian Football League (VFL). After attending Scotch College in Melbourne, Strachan joined Collingwood in 1904. Between 1904 and 1910 he played 52 VFL matches, including the 1905 Grand Final. Strachan died in Marble Bar, Western Australia in June 1927 after the fuel tank in his car exploded.
Kieran Strachan is an Australian rules footballer who plays for the Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Strachan was selected with the 7th pick in the 2018 rookie draft.
