The Bodil Award for Best Documentary is one of the categories for the Bodil Awards presented annually by the Danish Film Critics Association. It was created in 1948 but has only been presented annually since 2007. [1]

<i>A Soap</i> 2006 Danish film

En Soap is a 2006 Danish melodramatic comedy film directed by Pernille Fischer Christensen which incorporates many of the austere techniques of Dogme style. The movie, starring Trine Dyrholm and David Dencik, follows the turbulent relationship between an abrasive beauty clinic owner and a depressed pre-op transgender woman. Made on a budget of 1.5 million dollars, it was the first feature film directed by Christensen.

Super16 is a Danish non-traditional film school based at the Nordisk Film Studio in Valby, Copenhagen. Each class program is for a 3-year period and produces 6 films annually. Although English-speaking applicants can apply, all instruction and communication is held in Danish.

<i>Winter Brothers</i> 2017 film

Winter Brothers is a 2017 Danish drama film directed by Hlynur Pálmason. It was screened in the Discovery section at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival, and won the 2018 Bodil Award for Best Danish Film. At the 2018 Robert Awards, the film won both the Robert Award for Best Danish Film as well as eight other merit awards: Pàlmason for Best Director, Crosset Hove for Best Actor, Carmen Sonne for Best Supporting Actress, as well as the Roberts for Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, Best Sound Design, Best Costume Design, and the Robert Award for Best Makeup.
