Bogalusa Railroad Station is a historic train station in Bogalusa, Washington Parish, Louisiana. Built around 1907, [1] it is significant in the history of local industry, commerce, and transportation, particularly related to the lumber industry. [2]
The station was central to the development of Bogalusa, especially in its role in transporting lumber to national markets. Architecturally, it features unique design elements like semi-octagonal ticket windows and pine brackets. The building showcases specific characteristics of early 20th-century industrial architecture, focusing on functionality. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, the Bogalusa Railroad Station symbolizes the city's early economic development and ties to the lumber industry. The Danbury Railway Museum is a railway museum housed in the former Union Station on the east end of downtown Danbury, Connecticut, United States. It was established in the mid-1990s following the closure of the station by the Metro-North Railroad in favor of a new station nearby, and primarily focuses on the history of railroading in southern New England and neighboring New York. In addition to the former station building, the museum has a collection of heritage railcars in the neighboring rail yard it shares with Metro-North.
Lafayette station is an Amtrak station in Lafayette, Indiana, served by the Cardinal. The current station facility was established in 1994. The Amtrak train previously stopped in the middle of the city's 5th Street, near the former Monon Railroad depot. The station building was moved to its current location from the southeast corner of 2nd and South streets in September 1994. It is a Romanesque Revival style depot built in 1902 by the Lake Erie and Western Railroad and Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis Railway, as the Big Four Depot. The station was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

Union Station, also known as Albany Union Station, is a building in Albany, New York, on the corner of Broadway and Steuben Street. Built during 1899–1900, it served originally as the city's railroad station but now houses credit union offices. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) during 1971.

Lima station was formerly served by the Pennsylvania Railroad's Pennsylvania Limited and by its flagship Broadway Limited daily passenger trains between New York City and Chicago in its later years.
The Bloomington freight station is a historic train station in downtown Bloomington, Indiana, United States. Constructed in the early twentieth century, it has endured closure and a series of modifications to survive to the present day, and it has been declared a historic site. Used only occasionally for many years, it is one of the most important buildings in a large historic district on the city's west side.
The Riverton Railroad Depot is a historic railway station located at 1st and Main Streets in Riverton, Wyoming. The depot was built by the Chicago and North Western Railway from 1906 to 1907 along a new line through central Wyoming built by the railway in 1906. The city of Riverton formed only two weeks before the railroad reached it when land in the area opened to new residents under the Homestead Act. The railroad spurred economic development in the region by exporting agricultural products and oil and creating demand for the local coal and lumber industries. When the railroad industry declined after World War II, the Chicago and North Western gradually decreased its service west of Casper, and by 1974 it was prepared to demolish the Riverton station as well. A group of Riverton residents instead bought and restored the depot, which now houses businesses. Some claim that the depot is the last surviving Chicago and North Western station west of Casper, but, although modified, the Lander station, still stands and is currently home to the Lander Chamber of Commerce.
Morristown station is a historic train station located at Morristown, Shelby County, Indiana. It was built in 1867–1868 by the Junction Railroad, and is a simple one-story, rectangular, building of pinned beam construction. It has a gable roof that extends to shelter a loading platform for 30 feet (9.1 m). The building served as both a grain elevator and train depot. It was moved to its present site in 1976 to prevent it from demolition.
The Port Murray Historic District is a 88-acre (36 ha) historic district in the Port Murray section of Mansfield Township in Warren County, New Jersey, United States. It was an important transportation location, being on the Morris Canal and the Morris and Essex Railroad. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 7, 1996 for its significance in community development, architecture, and transportation from 1828 to 1915. It includes 82 contributing buildings, 7 contributing sites, and 12 contributing structures.
