Sir Vansittart Bowater, 1st Baronet
There have been two baronetcies created for members of the Bowater family, both in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom. Both creations are extant as of 2010.
The Bowater baronetcy, of Hill Crest in the Borough of Croydon,[1] was created in 1914 for Vansittart Bowater, Lord Mayor of London (a one-year office) from 1913 to 1914.
The Bowater baronetcy, of Friston in the County of Suffolk,[2] was created in 1939 for Frank Bowater, a paper entrepreneur and Lord Mayor of London 1938–1939. He was the younger brother of the above. His son, the second Baronet was Lord Mayor of London 1953–1954.
Viscount Gage, of Castle Island in the County of Kerry of the Kingdom of Ireland, is a title in the Peerage of Ireland. It was created in 1720 for Thomas Gage, along with the subsidiary title of Baron Gage, of Castlebar in the County of Mayo, also in the Peerage of Ireland. In 1744 he also succeeded his cousin as eighth Baronet, of Firle Place. The titles remain united. The Gage family descends from John Gage, who was created a baronet, of Firle Place in the County of Sussex, in the Baronetage of England on 26 March 1622. His great-grandson, the seventh Baronet, represented Seaford in Parliament. He was succeeded by his first cousin, Thomas Gage, 1st Viscount Gage, the eighth Baronet. He sat as a Member of Parliament for Minehead and Tewkesbury and also served as Governor of Barbados. In 1720, 24 years before succeeding in the baronetcy, he was raised to the Peerage of Ireland as Baron Gage and Viscount Gage. His second son was the military commander the Hon. Thomas Gage.
Baron Leigh has been created twice as a hereditary title, once in the Peerage of England and once in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. The first creation came in the Peerage of England 1643 when Sir Thomas Leigh, 2nd Baronet, was created Baron Leigh, of Stoneleigh in the County of Warwick. The Leigh Baronetcy, of Stoneleigh in the County of Warwick, had been created in 1611 for his grandfather and namesake Thomas Leigh. The latter was the second son of Sir Thomas Leigh, Lord Mayor of London in 1558, whose third son Sir William Leigh was the grandfather of Francis Leigh, 1st Earl of Chichester. The titles became extinct on the death of the fifth Baron Leigh in 1786.
There have been four baronetcies created for persons with the surname Clark, all in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom. Two of the creations are extant as of 2010.
Major Sir Frank Henry Bowater, 1st Baronet, TD, CStJ was Lord Mayor of London from 1938 to 1939, son of William Vansittart Bowater and his wife Eliza Jane née Davey.
Sir Noël Vansittart Bowater, 2nd Baronet was the 626th Lord Mayor of London from 1953 to 1954.
Sir Thomas Vansittart Bowater, 1st Baronet, was a British Conservative Party politician who served as Lord Mayor of London from 1913 to 1914 and as one of the city's Members of Parliament (MPs) from 1924 to 1938.

It was created on 1 November 1934 for Sir Charles Henry Collett, Lord Mayor of London from 1933 to 1934. Sir Christopher Collett, uncle of the third Baronet, was Lord Mayor of London in 1988.
