Box Cinema [1] [2] was a free-to-air Indian Hindi movie channel that was owned by Box Cinemedia Services Pvt. Ltd. [3] The channel shows Bollywood and South Indian dubbed movies.

History

Box Cinemedia Services Pvt Ltd launched Box Cinema in January 2019. This channel shows Bollywood, Hollywood, and South Indian dubbed movies. It was replaced by Atrangii on 6th June 2022.

Pan-Indian film is a term related to Indian cinema that started off with the Telugu cinema. The term gained popularity since 2015, post the success of Baahubali: The Beginning (2015). The term "Pan-Indian film" is used for a film that is simultaneously released in multiple languages like Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi with an aim to maximise the target audience and increase the revenues. Such films make an attempt to appeal to the audiences across the country, cutting across the linguistic and cultural barriers.
