Brad Wood is an American record producer based in Los Angeles. He has produced many albums, including Liz Phair's Exile in Guyville and Placebo's self-titled debut.
Wood is from Rockford, Illinois. [1] In 1988, Wood, along with Brian Deck and Daniel Sonis, built Idful Music Corporation recording studio in Chicago's Wicker Park. [2] [3] While at Idful he recorded and produced hundreds of records, including Liz Phair's Exile in Guyville , Veruca Salt's American Thighs , Ben Lee's Grandpaw Would , Sunny Day Real Estate's Diary and LP2 , and albums by Red Red Meat, Seam, That Dog, and others. In addition to producing records, Brad was the drummer/soprano saxophonist for Shrimp Boat and touring drummer for Liz Phair (1993–94).
After relocating to Los Angeles, California, Wood has continued to record, mix, and produce records, primarily from his Seagrass Studio in Valley Village. He has worked on recordings by mewithoutYou, Touché Amoré, Skating Polly, Say Anything, Pete Yorn, and Dar Williams.

Elizabeth Clark Phair is an American rock singer-songwriter. Born in New Haven, Connecticut, Phair was raised primarily in the Chicago area. After graduating from Oberlin College in 1990, she attempted to start a musical career in San Francisco, California, but returned to her home in Chicago, where she began self-releasing audio cassettes under the name Girly-Sound. The tapes led to a recording contract with the independent record label Matador Records.

The album received critical acclaim and in 2020, it was ranked No. 56 by Rolling Stone in its 500 Greatest Albums of All Time list. It was certified gold in 1998.
Nina Rachel Gordon Shapiro, known as Nina Gordon, is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist. She co-founded the alternative rock band Veruca Salt and played on their first two studio albums, American Thighs (1994) and Eight Arms to Hold You (1997). During that time, Gordon wrote the band's hit singles "Seether" and "Volcano Girls". After leaving Veruca Salt, she released two solo albums, Tonight and the Rest of My Life (2000) and Bleeding Heart Graffiti (2006). She then rejoined Veruca Salt for their album Ghost Notes (2015).

Brian Deck is an American music producer and member of the band Red Red Meat. He co-founded Idful Music Corporation in 1988. Since becoming a full-time producer, Deck has worked with bands and artists including Modest Mouse, Iron & Wine, Califone, All Smiles, Fruit Bats, Gomez, The Grates, Holopaw, Baby & Hide, David Singer and David Berkeley. Brian currently works at Narwhal Studios in Chicago.
