The 1967 National Football League draft was conducted March 14–15, 1967, at the Gotham Hotel in New York City. It was the first common draft with the AFL, part of the AFL–NFL merger agreement of June 1966.

He played college football at San Diego State where in his senior year he recorded 73 tackles and five sacks, catching the eyes of multiple NFL scouts. He is a graduate of Morro Bay High School. Eric William Fisher is an American football offensive tackle who is a free agent. He played college football at Central Michigan University, and was selected first overall by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2013 NFL Draft. He played for the Chiefs for eight seasons from 2013 to 2020, making two Pro Bowls and winning Super Bowl LIV over the San Francisco 49ers.
Roberto Jose Aguayo is an American football placekicker who is a free agent. He played college football at Florida State University, where he was the most accurate kicker in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) history and third in NCAA history. He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft, unusually high for a special teams player. Despite an accomplished career at Florida State, Aguayo is considered to be among the biggest "busts" in recent NFL history.

As in 2015, the draft took place at the Auditorium Theatre and Grant Park in Chicago. The draft began on Thursday, April 28 with the first round, and ended on Saturday, April 30. The Tennessee Titans, the team with the fewest wins in the NFL for the 2015 season, traded the right to the top pick in the draft to the Los Angeles Rams, the first time the top pick was traded before the draft since 2001 when the San Diego Chargers traded their first pick to the Atlanta Falcons. Ohio State became the second school to have three players drafted in the top ten and to have five players drafted in the first round.
