Brandon O'bryant Beal (born December 16, 1983) [1] is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer from Tyler, Texas. He is best known for his 2014 single "Twerk It Like Miley" (featuring Christopher), which went viral through the app Dubsmash and peaked atop Denmark's Hitlisten chart and entered Germany's GfK Entertainment charts. [2] His 2016 single, "Golden" (featuring Lukas Graham) also peaked atop the former chart, and entered the charts in Sweden, Norway, and Germany. His guest appearance on Danish singer Christopher's 2014 single "CPH Girls" was met with similar success.

Career

Beal gained his first musical recognition through his independent album Comfortable released in 2006, [3] (a collaboration with Danish/American producer Multiman). Brandon Beal has worked with artists like Snoop Dogg, [4] Flo Rida, Juelz Santana, [5] Kato, Lukas Graham [6] and Christopher. [7]

In February 2011, Beal and Rasmus Hedegaard, also known as Beal & Ras toured Denmark with Kato and Ida Corr. Their first single "Money" stayed on the Danish Dance charts for 14 weeks peaking at No. 13. [8] They released their second single "I Like It" featuring Troo.L.S on August 18, 2011.

Beal was featured on "My House 2.0" on Kato's album Discolized 2.0 . The song peaked at No. 40 on Hitlisten without being an official single. [9] [10] He is also featured on Kato's single "Never Let U Go" that also features Snoop Dogg. The single debuted at No. 2 on Hitlisten in its first week of release.

He also worked alongside Danish singer and band Lukas Graham on their album, which was No. 1 on the album charts for 11 weeks, and to date has gone 3× platinum. [11] On October 22, 2012, Lukas Graham released the single "Better Than Yourself" which was also co-written by Brandon. This song debuted at No. 1 on Hitlisten, and is his biggest selling single to date. [11]

In 2014, he released the song "Twerk It Like Miley" produced by Hedegaard and featuring Danish singer Christopher. The single reached number one on Tracklisten, the official Danish singles chart and later received a Danish Music Award for "Club Hit of the Year".

In 2016, Beal released the single "Golden" featuring vocals by Lukas Graham. It reached number 1 on Hitlisen, the official Danish Singles Chart becoming his third number 1 in Denmark after "Twerk It Like Miley" and "CPH Girls".

3 (The Purple Album) is the third studio album by Danish band Lukas Graham. It was released on 26 October 2018 by Copenhagen Records, Then We Take the World and Warner Bros. Records. The album features songs about "growing up and moving on". The band toured in support of the album in 2019. The album debuted at number one in Denmark while on the singles chart, "Love Someone" stayed atop for an eighth week, "Not a Damn Thing Changed" rose back up to number two and the other eight album tracks also entered.

MellemFingaMuzik is a Danish hip-hop group, consisting of rappers Stepz and Branco. The duo started publishing materials in late 2011, after which they joined the Danish record label HideOut that also had signed up rappers Jooks and Sivas. When HideOut closed, MellemFingaMuzik started a collaboration with the newly formed label Grounded. They also teamed up with Benny Jamz and Gilli, from the B.O.C. collective, and all formed the common front and collective known as the Molotov Movement.
