Brandtson was an American rock band from Cleveland, Ohio.

History

The band formed in 1996 and first recorded for a Stead Fast Records compilation entitled Radiowaves and Gibberish in 1997. [1] Soon after the group signed with Deep Elm Records, appearing on their Emo Diaries series before issuing their debut LP, Letterbox, late in 1998. The group quickly issued two more releases, Fallen Star Collection [2] and the EP Trying to Figure Each Other Out, in successive years. Dial in Sounds followed in 2002, [3] and the following year the group released a split EP with Camber and Seven Storey Mountain.

In 2004, the group signed with The Militia Group and began working with producer Ed Rose for their fifth full-length, Send Us a Signal, which arrived in 2004. In the same year, an previously unreleased song, "Little Birds and Sparrows", was put onto the compilation album "Take Action! Vol 4". Another full-length, Hello Control, was issued in 2006. [4] [5]

The members of Brandtson, minus Jared Jolley, reformed to the small garage rock project Swarm of Bats. [6] [7] In 2007 Adam Boose opened the audio mastering studio Cauliflower Audio [8] to a positive reception. [9] Boose and Myk Porter went on to create the duo Golden Streets of Paradise. [10] Vocalist Myk Porter and Guitarist Matt Traxler were originally in the band Six Feet Deep.

Matthew Good Band was a Canadian alternative rock band formed in Coquitlam, British Columbia in 1995. The band consisted of singer-songwriter/guitarist Matthew Good, guitarist/keyboardist Dave Genn, drummer Ian Browne and bassist Geoff Lloyd. Lloyd was replaced by Rich Priske in 1998. Triple Fast Action was an indie rock/alternative rock band started by Wes Kidd and Brian St. Clair, both previous members of Chicago band Rights of the Accused, in 1995. Kidd went on to manage such bands as Cheap Trick, The Damnwells and bandmate Kevin Tihista while working for New York-based Silent Partner Management. St. Clair joined the band Local H after stints as tour manager for Chicago's Liz Phair and served as drum tech for Bun E. Carlos of Cheap Trick. Triple Fast Action member Kevin Tihista released several of his own solo albums after the band's breakup.

Bryan Gray is an American musician that has predominately performed with bands in the punk rock and hardcore punk genre, including and most notably, the Blamed, Blenderhead, Left Out, The Satire, and Rocks in Pink Cement. He also has performed in the hardcore band Six Feet Deep. Gray was best known for being the brainchild of The Blamed, which is known for their tenure on Tooth & Nail Records. He also has performed with industrial metal bands such as Mortal and Klank.
