Breaking Point was an American rock [2] band on the record label Wind-Up Entertainment. It was founded in 1999 in Memphis, Tennessee.

Breaking Point's debut album, Coming of Age , was released in 2001 with a follow-up, Beautiful Disorder , released in 2005.

Their songs have been used in a number of films and theatrical soundtracks, including Wishcraft , The Scorpion King , the Funimation dub of Dragon Ball Z: Cooler's Revenge , and Fantastic Four , as well as a trailer for Biker Boyz . Additionally, their song "One of a Kind" had been used as the theme song of Rob Van Dam, who was also featured in the music video, during his WWE career.

Breaking Point toured with several bands, including Sevendust, Saliva, Theory of a Deadman and Fuel.

In mid-2006, Breaking Point toured the United States with Creed frontman Scott Stapp. As of July 2007, guitarist Justin Rimer has been performing as a member of 12 Stones. Brett recently became the frontman of local Memphis band Aurora. Greg Edmondson is now currently the bassist for Collide Over Me.

In May 2011, the original incarnation of Breaking Point reunited at Hard Rock Cafe in Memphis, TN for a benefit show and played an acoustic set.

Original drummer Jody Abbott died in 2022 after a battle with Huntington's disease.

According to Spotify, as of July 24, 2023, Breaking Point has 92,260 streams per month. Their song "One of a Kind" has over 10 million streams (11,311,156) [3]

The group broke up in late 1974, and reorganized with a new lineup 18 years later following a reunion concert at the University of Missouri. In its first era, the band's musical style drew on the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, and the Byrds. Big Star produced a style that foreshadowed the alternative rock of the 1980s and 1990s. Before they broke up, Big Star created a "seminal body of work that never stopped inspiring succeeding generations", in the words of Rolling Stone, as the "quintessential American power pop band", and "one of the most mythic and influential cult acts in all of rock & roll". The Hard-Ons are an Australian punk rock band, which formed in 1982 in Punchbowl, New South Wales. Its founding members were Keish de Silva on lead vocals and drums, Peter "Blackie" Black on guitar and backing vocals, and Ray Ahn on bass guitar. Beautiful Disorder is the second and final album by hard rock band Breaking Point, released in 2005. The tracks "Show Me a Sign" and "All Messed Up" were released as singles. It was recorded with producer Ben Schigel playing drums. The band's second drummer, Aaron "Zeke" Dauner was then added, who replaced Jody Abbott. David Cowell was also added on guitar to tour from this point. The song "Goodbye to You" is featured on the Fantastic Four movie soundtrack.

Coming of Age is the original 8-song demo record by alternative rock band Breaking Point, then known as (The) Broken. It was recorded between late-1999 and mid-2000 and was released on January 16, 2001. It was a limited release and is now a sought-after collectible.

The first season of the Dragon Ball Z anime series contains the Raditz and Vegeta arcs, which comprises the Saiyan Saga, which adapts the 17th through the 21st volumes of the Dragon Ball manga series by Akira Toriyama. Dragon Ball Z is a Japanese anime television series produced by Toei Animation. Part of the Dragon Ball media franchise, it is the sequel to the 1986 Dragon Ball television series and adapts the latter 325 chapters of the original Dragon Ball manga series created by Akira Toriyama. The series aired in Japan on Fuji TV from April 1989 to January 1996, and was later dubbed for broadcast in at least 81 countries worldwide.
