Breakthru is the self-released debut album by American singer-songwriter Antoniette Costa. It was released on her label L.I.P. Label 14 on March 1, 2005. [1]
The album exhibits Costa's R&B and soul tendencies as a singer-songwriter. Some of the 12 tracks [2] are piano ballads, while others are accompanied by a band. [3] The album was dedicated to her recently deceased aunt, and featured 12 songs that had been written from middle-school to college. [4] In honor of her aunt, who was an avid supporter of education, Costa donated a percentage of the album sales to the Rosalita Costa-Clark School Fund in Pittsburgh. [3]
Costa independently released the album on March 1, 2005 on her own record label L.I.P. Label 14. [1] The album ranked No. 1 on Amazon's Early Adopter Indie Music Chart and No. 69 on the Early Adopter All Music Chart. [4] It also led to Costa's future collaborations with members of The Roots. [5]

She recorded several pop hits in the 1980s and 1990s, including "There's a Guy Works Down the Chip Shop Swears He's Elvis" and cover versions of Billy Bragg's "A New England" and The Kinks' "Days." Her song "They Don't Know" was covered with great success by Tracey Ullman. MacColl also sang on recordings produced by her then-husband Steve Lillywhite, most notably "Fairytale of New York" by The Pogues.
Antoniette Costa is an Italian-American singer-songwriter and co-founder of Humans of Fashion Foundation. Saxobeats is the debut studio album recorded by Romanian singer and songwriter Alexandra Stan, released on 29 August 2011 by Play On Records. It was mainly written and produced by Marcel Prodan and Andrei Nemirschi, who recorded it at their Maan Studio. They had previously discovered the singer at a karaoke bar and offered her a record deal with their own label, Maan Records. Same year she released a promotional single, "Show Me the Way", through the label which was later included on Saxobeats. The music on the album overall approaches genres of hi-NRG and dance music. "Lollipop " features a sample of American singer Fergie's 2006 single "Fergalicious". The record received mixed reviews from music reviewers, praising it for approaching a danceable style, but also criticizing its formulaic production.
"Bizounce" is the debut single recorded by American singer Olivia, from her self-titled debut studio album (2001). Producers Doug Allen and Joshua Thompson wrote the song in collaboration with Olivia and songwriters David L. Conley, Quincy Q. Patrick, and Juan Magic" Peters. It was released on March 20, 2001 as the lead single from the album. It is an upbeat, R&B track with lyrics that revolve around dissatisfaction with a relationship and the desire to "bizounce" or leave the partner. In her autobiography, Release Me: My Life, My Words, Olivia revealed her disappointment that "Bizounce" was chosen and released as the lead single because of interference by label executives.
