Prior to his appointment Brendan McDonagh was Director Finance, Technology & Risk with the National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA). [2] He held that post since 2002. Prior to that, he was Financial Controller (1998–2002) of the NTMA. He joined the NTMA in 1994. [1]
Previously he worked for a number of years with the Electricity Supply Board of Ireland (ESB) in a number of areas including accounting, internal audit and treasury. During his time in the ESB, he worked on secondment from the ESB to the NTMA in its initial years.
Brendan McDonagh was born in Killorglin, County Kerry, Ireland. McDonagh, 41 years old at the time of his appointment, holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from Dublin Institute of Technology [3] and is also a Chartered Management Accountant.
The Department of the Treasury (USDT) is the national treasury and finance department of the federal government of the United States, where it serves as an executive department. Doerflinger was appointed by then Governor of Oklahoma Mary Fallin on January 19, 2011. Prior to his appointment, Doerflinger served as the city auditor for Tulsa, Oklahoma from 2009 until this appointment as secretary. Shortly thereafter he was also named the Director of the newly created Office of Management and Enterprise Systems. In his role as Secretary of Finance he was the Governor’s lead budget executive and negotiator. He was appointed by the governor as the Interim Commissioner of Health in October, 2017 while maintaining his roles as Cabinet Secretary and Director of the Office of Management and Enterprise Systems. He resigned from all of his roles in Oklahoma State government in February 2018.
