The Brennabor Typ P, launched in 1919, is the first car introduced by the Brennabor company after the First World War. For a few years in the early 1920s this middle market model, with production reaching 100 units per day just for the domestic market, took the company to the top of the German auto-sales charts.
Brennabor-Werke AG was a German manufacturer of infant buggies, bicycles, motorcycles and, for two decades, of powered motor vehicles. It was based in Brandenburg an der Havel and operated between 1871 and 1945.
The car was powered by a 4-cylinder side-valve engine of 2.1 litres, mounted ahead of the driver and delivering 24 hp at 2,400 rpm. Power was delivered to the rear wheels through an asbestos lined clutch and a four-speed gear box controlled with a gear lever mounted outside the passenger area, directly to the right of the driver’s seat. (As was normal at this time, the driver sat on the right-hand side of the car.)
A flathead engine, otherwise sidevalve engine, is an internal combustion engine with its poppet valves contained within the engine block, instead of in the cylinder head, as in an overhead valve engine.
Asbestos is a set of six naturally occurring silicate minerals, which all have in common, their asbestiform habit: i.e., long, thin fibrous crystals, with each visible fiber composed of millions of microscopic "fibrils" that can be released by abrasion and other processes. The minerals are chrysotile, amosite, crocidolite, tremolite, anthophyllite, and actinolite.
A clutch is a mechanical device which engages and disengages power transmission especially from driving shaft to driven shaft.
The car sat on a U-profile pressed steel chassis with rigid axles and semi-elliptical leaf springing. It came as a P6 version with a six-seater open-topped body or as a P11, featuring a more sporty open-topped four-seater body. The mechanically linked foot brake operated on the drive shaft, while the hand brake operated directly against the rear wheels.
A successor model, the Brennabor Typ PW, appeared in 1925. This shared the 2.1-litre engine of the earlier Typ P, but claimed maximum power was increased to 32 hp, achieved, now, at 2,600 rpm. The gear lever was relocated from the right hand edge of the car to a central floor-mounted position, which necessitated changing gear with the left hand, since the driver continued to be conventionally positioned on the right-hand side of the car. The wheelbase was unchanged, but the standard bodies were nevertheless a little longer than on the previous model.
A third body style joined the existing two, as the Typ P was now offered, as the P15, with a four-door body.
Taking the Typ P and the Typ PW together, by 1927 approximately 10,000 of the Brennabor Typ P models had been produced.

The Mitsubishi Magna is a mid-size car that was produced over three generations between 1985 and 2005 by Mitsubishi Motors Australia Limited (MMAL). Developed as a replacement for the Mitsubishi Sigma, each Magna generation derived from Japanese platforms re-engineered for the Australian market and conditions. Initially, Magna offered inline-four engines in a mid-size sedan package—a station wagon debuted in 1987. Over the years, each new series grew in size, and with the second generation of 1991, the range was bolstered by a luxury variant called Mitsubishi Verada and a V6 engine. The Magna/Verada became the first Australian-made vehicle to be exported worldwide in large numbers, predominantly as the Mitsubishi Diamante. The third and final iteration Magna/Verada launched in 1996, adding all-wheel-drive (AWD) from 2002, and receiving a substantial styling update in 2003. They were replaced by the Mitsubishi 380 in 2005.
The Holden Caprice is a full-sized car which was produced by Holden in Australia from 1990 to October 2017. The similar Holden Statesman, which was also introduced in 1990 as a model below the Caprice, was discontinued in September 2010. Between 1971 and 1984, Holden marketed their long-wheelbase sedans under the Statesman marque.
The Chrysler PT Cruiser is a front-engine, front-wheel drive, small family car/compact MPV manufactured and marketed internationally by Chrysler in 5-door hatchback (2000–2010) and 2-door convertible (2005-2008) body styles. It is noted for its exterior design reminiscent of 1930s styling, executed by Bryan Nesbitt, and its interior design featuring a high-roof, high h-point seating, and flexible cargo and passenger configurations — a multi-level cargo shelf as well as fold, tumble and removable rear seating.

The Brennabor Typ S, launched in 1922, was a car introduced by the Brennabor company in order to complement their larger Typ P model. In 1925 it was replaced by the Brennabor Typ R which was essentially an updated version of the same model.
In 1929 the Brennabor Ideal Typ N was introduced by the Brennabor company, which for much of that decade had been Germany's leading auto maker.
Brennabor Typ A was the designation given to a six-cylinder car introduced by the Brennabor company in 1927. Successive versions appeared in subsequent years until the Typ As were replaced, by the Brennabor Juwel 6, for 1930.
The Brennabor Typ B “Juwel 6” is a six-cylinder automobile introduced by the Brennabor company in 1929 as a successor to the des Brennabor Typ A.
The Brennabor Juwel 8 is an eight-cylinder automobile introduced the Brennabor company in 1930 to complement their then recently introduced Juwel 6 model.
The 1 Litre Brennabor Typ C is a small car introduced by Brennabor in 1931. In the wake of a sustained period of economic difficulties it represented a belated extension of the company’s range into the "small car" sector which hitherto Brennabor had ignored. In 1933 the car was upgraded and became the short-lived Brennabor Typ D
The 2 Litre Brennabor Typ E is a car manufactured, briefly, by Brennabor in 1933 as a successor to the company’s Typ B “Juwel 6.
The DKW Typ 4=8 is a small rear-wheel drive two-stroke V4 engined car produced at the company’s Spandau plant by DKW. It was launched at the Berlin Motor-show in 1929 as a successor to the DKW Typ P built at the same factory, although the DKW Typ P 4=8 was significantly larger than the Typ P: in terms of market positioning a more direct successor to the DKW Type P was probably the DKW F1 produced in Zwickau from 1931.
The Mercedes-Benz W18 was a six-cylinder automobile introduced as the Mercedes-Benz Typ 290 in 1933. It was a smaller-engined successor to the manufacturer’s Typ 350 / 370 Mannheim model. In terms of the German auto-business of the 1930s it occupied a market position roughly equivalent to that filled by the Mercedes-Benz E-Class in the closing decades of the twentieth century. The W18 was replaced in 1937 by the manufacturer’s W142.
The Mercedes 24/100/140 PS was a large luxury car introduced by Daimler of Untertürkheim in 1924. Production continued until 1929 by which time Daimler had merged with Benz & Cie as a result of which the car’s name had changed to Mercedes-Benz Typ 630. The car was conceptually and structurally similar to the contemporary Mercedes 15/70/100 PS, but the Mercedes 24/100/140 PS was longer, heavier, more powerful, faster and even more expensive.
The Vauxhall 20-60 is a four or five-seater saloon, limousine, tourer or coupé-cabriolet manufactured by Vauxhall of Luton. It was announced on 28 September 1927 with a six-cylinder engine and a four-speed gearbox. A cautious move downmarket. "The first time any six-cylinder Vauxhall has been sold under £1000!" "British & Vauxhall". The initial 2.7-litre engine was enlarged to 3-litres after twelve months.
Their new Daimler 22 horsepower full-size luxury car was first displayed by Daimler in April 1902 at The Automobile Club’s Exhibition in London's Agricultural Hall. Daimler had elected to drop their multiple old low powered designs and restrict themselves to this 22 horsepower and a pair of 9 or 12 horsepower cars to the same design as the 22 but more lightly constructed. The King’s not quite finished new Daimler 22 was reported to be the chief attraction of the show.
The Mazda MX-5 (NC) is the third generation of the Mazda MX-5 manufactured from 2005 to 2015. At its introduction in 2005, it won the Car of the Year Japan Award and made Car and Driver's 10Best list from 2006 to 2013. The NC is the first MX-5 generation to feature a retractable hardtop variant, with its roof being able to fold and unfold in 12 seconds without sacrificing trunk space.
