Brennan Taylor is an American role-playing games author and publisher.
Brennan Taylor co-founded Indie Press Revolution with Ed Cha of Open World Press in 2004 and was its first CEO. [1] : 408 When Taylor hired Fred Hicks of Evil Hat Games as a part-time staff member, Ron Edwards left IPR claiming that this move would make IPR less friendly to the small press games companies that it was intended to serve. [1] : 410 In 2010, Hero Games purchased Indie Press Revolution from Taylor and Cha. [1] : 154 Although Taylor stepped down as president, he maintains a minority share. [2] Taylor served as president prior to the next CEO Jason Walters.[ citation needed ]
Taylor is also the owner of Galileo Games, [1] : 408 publisher of the games Bulldogs!, Mortal Coil, and How We Came To Live Here . He is also the author of Hard Boilded Empires: Solara,Old Gods: A Mortal Coil Campaign Frame, and The Jersey Side playset for the independent RPG, Fiasco .
This Mortal Coil were a British music collective led by Ivo Watts-Russell, founder of the British record label 4AD. Although Watts-Russell and John Fryer were the only two official members, the band's recorded output featured a large rotating cast of supporting artists, many of whom were otherwise associated with 4AD, including members of Cocteau Twins, Pixies and Dead Can Dance. The project became known for its gothic, dream pop sound, and released three full albums, beginning in 1984 with It'll End in Tears.

Visigoths vs. Mall Goths is an urban fantasy tabletop role-playing game with LGBTQ dating sim elements by Lucian Kahn, with art by Robin Eisenberg. The ancient Visigoths have time traveled to 1990s Los Angeles and are battling mall goths for control of the mall. The game's tone is silly and the setting has many puns. The game was inspired by 1990s movies The Craft, Empire Records, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure and Clueless. It was nominated for the ENNIE Awards and the Indie Game Developer Network awards.
