History

Brian L. Bohrer was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota, on a military base. His father was in the United States Air Force and was from Paw Paw, West Virginia. His mother was from Magnolia, Arkansas.

He was led to the Lord in 1967 at a community park in Bossier City, Louisiana by a group called “Child Evangelism Fellowship” while his family was stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base, in Bossier City, LA, a neighboring city to Shreveport, Louisiana.

As a child, he was sick and delusional at night time. He would wander through his house in trance like state acting like a monkey in a panicked state of mind. During this time, at his elementary school he was attending special learning classes. His family and took him to a Kathryn Kuhlman meeting at Tulsa Civic Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In his book, Winning On the Inside, claims he was healed at that meeting. [1]

Although he had never meet Mrs. Kuhlman he often cited that she, Oral Roberts, and Kenneth E. Hagin were the greatest influences upon his life.

Brian Bohrer currently resides in Washington, Missouri and pastors Living Bread Church which has recently celebrated 30 years in the ministry. [2] He has organized outreaches in the local community that have reached the attention of The Washington Missourian. [3]

Ministry and Theology

Brian Bohrer attended Midwest Bible Institute in Houston, TX and is a graduate of RHEMA Bible Training Center of Broken Arrow, OK. which was founded by Kenneth E. Hagin. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry from ICIB College, Alexandria, LA.

He has been a pastor and a traveling minister for more than 31 years, preaching his first sermon in November 1978 at Midwest Bible Institute.

His teaching is similar in many respects to the Word of Faith doctrine, with a particular emphasis on healing and victorious living.

Those of the Word of Faith movement that he associates with are, Jesse Duplantis, Mark Hankins, Kenneth Copeland, Crelfo Dollar, Joseph Prince, Joel Osteen, and the Trinity Broadcasting Network.

The Latter Rain, also known as the New Order or the New Order of the Latter Rain, was a post–World War II movement within Pentecostal Christianity which remains controversial. The movement saw itself as a continuation of the restorationism of early pentecostalism. The movement began with major revivals between 1948 and 1952, and became established as a large semi-organized movement by 1952 and continued into the 1960s. The movement had a profound impact on subsequent movements as its participants dispersed throughout the broader charismatic and pentecostal movements beginning in the 1960s.

Word of Faith is a worldwide Christian movement which teaches that Christians can access the power of faith through speech. Its teachings are found on radio, the Internet, television, and in some Neo-charismatic churches and communities. Traditional Pentecostal churches cannot be categorized under this teaching. The movement teaches that the salvation won by Jesus on the cross included healing and wellbeing for believers, claiming support from scripture verses such as John 10:10, 1 Peter 2:24, and Romans 10:9-10.

Kathryn Kuhlman American evangelist

Kathryn Kuhlman was an American evangelist known for hosting healing services.

Prosperity theology is a religious belief among some Protestant Christians that financial blessing and physical well-being are always the will of God for them, and that faith, positive speech, and donations to religious causes will increase one's material wealth. Material and especially financial success is seen as a sign of divine favor.

Ulf Ekman

Ulf Ekman is a former charismatic pastor and the founder of the Livets Ord organization in Sweden, which brought the Word of Faith movement to that country. Ekman is now a Catholic. Ekman is married to Birgitta Ekman and has 4 sons, Aron, Jonathan, Samuel and Benjamin.

Essek William Kenyon (1867–1948) was a pastor of the New Covenant Baptist Church and founder and president of Bethel Bible Institute in Spencer, Massachusetts.

David Oyedepo Nigerian clergyman (born 1954

David Olaniyi Oyedepo is a Nigerian preacher, Christian author, businessman, architect and the founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, and presiding Bishop of the Faith Tabernacle in Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria. The church is also known as Winners' Chapel International.

Adam Schnelting is a Republican member of the Missouri House of Representatives. He represents the 104th district, which encompasses portions of St. Peters and St. Charles in St. Charles County, south of Mexico Road and extending southeastward beyond Route 94 to Towers Road.
