Brian Claybourn (born October 21, 1981) is an American former professional football punter and placekicker who played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League. He played college football at Western Kentucky University.

Claybourn was a standout punter and kicker at FJ Reitz High School in Evansville, Indiana. As a punter during his senior year, he averaged 37 yards per kick with nine downed inside the 10-yard line. His junior year, he also averaged 37 yards per kick with a long kick of 59 yards. He was named all-state, all-area, all-metro, all-conference, and all-city as a high school punter.
Claybourn elected to play college football at Western Kentucky University (WKU) and finished his career there with the best single-season punting performance in school history with a 43.4 yard average. He finished second all-time at WKU with 9,237 yards, 226 punts, and an average of 40.87 yards per kick. He served as a WKU team captain during the team's Division I Football Championship Subdivision (I-AA) national championship in 2002 season and an 11th ranking in the 2004 final national polls. [1]
Claybourn's performance at WKU drew rave reviews. Head coach Jack Harbaugh said, "He's as instrumental as your quarterback, as instrumental as anybody you have on your team." WKU special teams coach Craig Aukerman said, "When people hear the word 'punter' or 'kicker,' they say that they aren't real athletes. But he's redefined the role as a punter." [2]
Claybourn tallied a number of awards and honors during his college career, including ESPN/USA Today I-AA Special Teams Player of the Week (2004), The Sports Network and AP Third-team All-America Team (2004), Football Gazette I-AA Pre-season All-America team (2004), First-team All-Gateway Football Conference Team (2003-04), Second-team All-Academic Team (2004 -03), GFC Special Teams Player of the Week (2002), and All-Gateway Conference (2001-02). Claybourn attended the San Diego Chargers' training camp in 2005 and attended a Dallas Cowboys' mini-camp in 2006. [4]
In 2006 Claybourn signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League. He punted 18 times with a 38.4 yard average during his year with the team. [5]

He had also played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Montreal Alouettes, Calgary Stampeders and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. DeAngelis is among the most accurate kickers in CFL history and he won his first Grey Cup championship with the Calgary Stampeders in 2008.
Justin Charles Medlock is an American former professional football player who was a placekicker in the National Football League (NFL) and Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football for the UCLA Bruins, earning consensus All-American honors in 2006. The Kansas City Chiefs selected him in the fifth round of the 2007 NFL draft. Medlock also played in the NFL for the Carolina Panthers, as well as the Toronto Argonauts, Edmonton Eskimos, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, and Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the CFL.
Rodrick Hill is an American former professional football player who was a cornerback in the National Football League (NFL) and Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football for the Kentucky State Thorobreds. Hill played in the NFL for the Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills, Detroit Lions, and Los Angeles Raiders. After his NFL career, he played five seasons in the CFL with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and still holds the career interception record for that franchise.

The Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers football program represents Kentucky Wesleyan College in college football as a member of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference at the NCAA Division II level. The college's football program began in 1907, lasting until 1930, when it was discontinued due to financial reasons. In 1982, the decision was made to re-establish a football program at the school, with the school resuming football operations the following year. Initially, the Panthers were an NCAA Division III team, unaffiliated with any conference, and also played only a season in the NAIA. Justin Palardy is a Canadian former professional football placekicker. He was drafted 36th overall by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the 2010 CFL Draft and was used as a punter. After being released by the Tiger-Cats, he was signed by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers as their placekicker, where he played for four seasons. Palardy also spent some time on the Ottawa Redblacks roster. In the 2010 season, he set the Blue Bombers single season record for place-kicking accuracy with 86.7%, a feat he would equal in 2012. He played CIS football for the Saint Mary's Huskies.
Alex Henery is an American former professional football kicker. He played college football for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, and set an NCAA record for field goal accuracy with an 89.5% success rate. He was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the fourth round of the 2011 NFL draft.

They claimed a share of the Gateway Football Conference championship and made the school's third straight appearance in the NCAA Division I-AA playoffs. After a rocky start, the team rallied to win their last 10 games including the 2002 NCAA Division I-AA Football Championship Game, beating McNeese State, 34–14, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The Hilltoppers finished the season ranked number 1 in both final 1AA postseason national polls.

Coming off winning the NCAA Division I-AA Championship the previous year, this team contended for Gateway Football Conference championship but ended up finishing tied for 3rd. They made the school's fourth straight appearance in the NCAA Division I-AA playoffs, beating Jacksonville State in the first round before losing to Wofford in the quarterfinals. The Hilltoppers finished the season ranked number 7 in final 1AA postseason national poll.

The team contended for Gateway Football Conference championship but finished 2nd. They made the school's fifth straight appearance in the NCAA Division I-AA playoffs; it would end up being WKU's last playoff appearance, as they would initiate transitioning to NCAA Division I-A/FBS in 2006. The Hilltoppers finished the season ranked 11th in final I-AA postseason national poll.
The 2001 Western Kentucky Hilltoppers football team represented Western Kentucky University in the 2001 NCAA Division I-AA football season and were coached by Jack Harbaugh. This was the school's first season as a member of the Gateway Football Conference, having won the Ohio Valley Conference championship the previous year. The Hilltoppers were the preseason favorites to win the conference but finished tied for 2nd. They qualified for the NCAA Division I-AA Playoffs where they were defeated by eventual runner-up, Furman. The team was originally scheduled to play Wisconsin on September 14, however, due to the September 11 attacks, all college football games were suspended the following weekend, and the game was played on the 29th.
