Hans-Joachim Fassnacht is a retired German swimmer. He competed at the 1968 and 1972 Summer Olympics in various freestyle and butterfly events and won a silver medal in the 4 × 200 m freestyle in 1972. In 1972 he also won a 1500 m freestyle semifinal, setting an Olympic record, but withdrew from the final.
During the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, United Kingdom, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines appeared in their seventh consecutive Summer Olympics. The country sent three competitors to their team with wild card entries. Athlete Kineke Alexander reprised her role as the nation's flag bearer for the second time at the opening ceremony. As Alexander entered her second Olympics, athlete Courtney Carl Williams and swimmer Tolga Akcayli debuted at the 2012 Olympics. For Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, none of the country's competitors advanced past their individual heats. In overall standings, Akcayli had the highest 2012 Olympic finish for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines when he placed 45th in the men's 50 metre freestyle.
Laos competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London when the event took place from 27 July to 12 August 2012. It was the nation's eighth overall appearance following their Olympic debut in 1980. Laos had previously competed in seven consecutive Olympics prior to London apart from the 1984 Summer Olympics boycott. Two athletes and one swimmer were selected to the Laotian Olympic team after the country did not qualify any competitors. Sprinter Kilakone Siphonexay was the nation's flag bearer at the opening and closing ceremonies. At the Olympics, Siphonexay and runner Laenly Phoutthavong failed to advance in the 100 m heats while swimmer Phathana Inthavong did not reach farther than the 50 m freestyle heats. Overall, Inthavong had the highest ranking for Laos in 2012 with a 56th place finish.

She competed at the FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships 2011 in Utah, and at the FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships 2013 in Voss. She competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, in women's aerials, and again at the 2018 Winter Olympics, where she placed fifth in women's aerials. At the 2015 World Championships she won her first world title.
Lucy Hope is a Scottish swimmer. She competed in the women's 4 × 200 metre freestyle relay event at the 2018 European Aquatics Championships, winning the gold medal. She won a further four gold medals in the 2020 European Aquatics Championships in the women's 4 x 100 metre freestyle relay and the mixed 4 x 200 metre freestyle relay
Yang Junxuan is a Chinese swimmer. She competed at the 2018 Asian Games in the following competitions: 100 metre freestyle winning bronze in 54.17, 200 metre freestyle winning silver in 1:57.48, women's 4 × 100 metre freestyle relay winning the silver medal and 4 x 200 m freestyle relay winning gold. At the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires Yang won bronze in the 50 metre freestyle event in 25.47, silver in the 100 metre freestyle event in 54.43 and silver in the 200 metre freestyle event in 1:58.05, as well as gold in the 4 x 100 metre relay event and gold in the mixed 4 x 100 metre medley relay event.
Erika Fairweather is a New Zealand swimmer who competed at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships and the 2020 Summer Olympics.
Eve Thomas is a New Zealand swimmer. She competed for New Zealand in the women's 800 metre freestyle at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships. Thomas is the daughter of British swimmer Sarah Hardcastle.

Kirsty Muir is a Scottish freestyle skier representing Great Britain who competed in the big air and slopestyle events at the 2022 Winter Olympics. She came second in the big air event at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics.
For the first time in history, a Lebanese swimming team attended the 1968 Summer Olympics held in Mexico, with one male swimmer attending the event. The first female Lebanese swimmer to attend an Olympics was Ani Jane Mugrditchian, at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich.
