Ryan Mattos [1] known as his stage name Brian Oblivion, is an American singer. He is the singer in the American duo Cults.

Early life and Career

Mattos was born and raised in San Diego, California. He got interested in music at a young age and started playing guitar when he was in highschool. [2] Mattos went to NYC to study film, where he met Madeline Follin. [3] They then formed a duo called Cults.

Personal Life

Mattos had a relationship with Madeline Follin, which they first met at NYC. They Later broke up in 2012. Their second album Static reflect their emotions towards their relationship. [4]
