Brian Seeger is a guitarist, composer, producer, educator, recording engineer, bandleader and forensic musicologist. He was appointed Coca-Cola Endowed Chair in American Jazz Studies [1] at the University of New Orleans in 2023.
Seeger played his first professional gigs as a young teen in New Jersey. Before his senior year of high school, his family moved to Florida. [2] Seeger attended Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. [3] In the mid-80s, he traveled abroad for several years, performing as a street musician. [2] Upon returning to the US in 1987, Seeger moved to Boston to complete a degree in Guitar Performance at the Berklee College of Music. [4]
Seeger moved to New Orleans in 1991 and began performing and touring with many New Orleans artists, including Davell Crawford, Aaron Neville and Stanton Moore. Seeger was part of Moore's first solo project, Moore and More, and composed many pieces for the group. [5] He appeared on Moore's first two solo records All Kooked Out! [6] and Flyin' the Koop [7] . Other bands Seeger was a part of at this time was Quintology, [8] the New World Funk Ensemble, [9] Neslort [10] and Theresa Andersson. [11] [12]
The early 2000s found Seeger performing more as a bandleader and increasingly producing records for other artists. [13] [14]
Since 2010, Seeger has primarily worked with the Organic Trio, [15] [16] [17] Cindy Scott [18] [19] and Brad Walker, [20] [21] producing several records for all of these artists, as well as performing and writing music for them.
Seeger is a full professor in the Music Department of the University of New Orleans and holds the Coca-Cola Endowed Chair in American Jazz Studies. [22] He has been part of the full-time faculty at UNO since 2008. Before that, Seeger was adjunct faculty at the University of New Orleans, Loyola University New Orleans [23] and Delgado Community College. He taught at numerous National Guitar Workshop sessions, and has led workshops and clinics for students around the world. [24] [25] Since 2019, Seeger has worked with several law firms as a forensic musicologist. [26]
Seeger holds a Masters of Music from the University of New Orleans, a Bachelor of Music from Berklee College of Music, and a Bachelor of Arts from Stockton University.

Marco Benevento is an American pianist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer, who has been a fixture of the New York experimental music rock and jazz scene since 1999. He is the founder and recording engineer of Fred Short, a recording studio in Upstate New York, and a member of the rock groups Benevento/Russo Duo and Joe Russo's Almost Dead, both of which feature his regular musical collaborator Joe Russo.
Stanton Moore is an American funk, jazz, and rock drummer from New Orleans. Most widely known as a founding member of Galactic, Moore has also pursued a solo recording career and recorded with bands as diverse as jazz-funk keyboardist Robert Walter and heavy metal act Corrosion of Conformity.
The Bruce Springsteen with the Seeger Sessions Band Tour, afterward sometimes referred to simply as the Sessions Band Tour, was a 2006 concert tour featuring Bruce Springsteen and the Sessions Band playing what was billed as "An all-new evening of gospel, folk, and blues", otherwise seen as a form of big band folk music. The tour was an outgrowth of the approach taken on Springsteen's We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions album, which featured folk music songs written or made popular by activist folk musician Pete Seeger, but taken to an even greater extent.

Flyin' the Koop is the second solo album by New Orleans drummer Stanton Moore. The album includes funk, rock and jazz. Moore's line-up for Flyin' the Koop is in part a combination of musicians with whom he played at a "SuperJam" at Tipitina's during Jazz Fest 2000.
Karl Denson is an American funk and jazz saxophonist, flutist and vocalist from Santa Ana, California. He plays with The Rolling Stones, and leads his own group, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe (KDTU). He co-founded The Greyboy Allstars (GBA), and continues to tour with both KDTU and GBA as well as The Rolling Stones. Formerly, Denson was a member of Lenny Kravitz's band and he has Denson has recorded with artists including Jack DeJohnette, Dave Holland, Slightly Stoopid, Blind Boys of Alabama, Blackalicious, Stanton Moore, and Jon Foreman of the band Switchfoot. Denson appears in the 1988 movie Coming To America and in the 2021 sequel Coming 2 America as the saxophonist in the fictional band Sexual Chocolate.

As of 2024, he has been nominated for 4 Grammy Awards, including Best Jazz Instrumental Album for Guided Tour in 2014 and Still Dreaming in 2019. Throughout his career, he has toured, recorded, and played with musicians such as Herbie Hancock, Jim Hall, Carmen McRae, Chris Potter, Julian Lage, Brian Blade, and Pat Metheny.

Kobi Yakob Arad is an Israeli-born American jazz pianist, composer, and music producer. He is known for being the pianist, vocalist, and bandleader of the Kobi Arad Band. He has won a Hollywood Music in Media (HMMA) Award and an Independent Music Award, both for his work as a solo artist and as part of the Kobi Arad Band. In 2024, he was nominated for a Hollywood Independent Music Award.
