Brian Shales (born June 3, 1985) is a Canadian former pair skater. He represented Canada at the 2005 World Junior Championships.
In the 2004–05 season, Shales and Michelle Cronin won the Canadian national junior title and were selected to compete at the 2005 World Junior Championships, where they placed seventh. During their career, they trained at the Toronto Cricket Skating and Curling Club. [1] Their partnership ended in December 2006.
Shales teamed up with Becky Cosford in 2007. They won the 2007 Ondrej Nepela Memorial silver medal and ended their partnership in 2008. He then teamed up with Brooke Paulin and competed with her in the 2008–09 season, placing 6th at the 2009 Canadian Figure Skating Championships.
He currently works as a pairs skating coach at the Skate Oakville Skating Club in Oakville, Ontario alongside Bruno Marcotte. [2]

Bruno Marcotte is a Canadian figure skating coach and former competitor in pairs. He is the 1993 World Junior bronze medallist with Isabelle Coulombe and the 2000 Nebelhorn Trophy champion with Valérie Marcoux.
Deanna Stellato-Dudek is an American pair skater who currently competes with Maxime Deschamps for Canada. With Deschamps, she is the 2024 World champion, the 2024 Four Continents champion, 2023–24 Grand Prix Final bronze medalist, a three-time ISU Grand Prix gold medalist, a two-time ISU Challenger Series gold medalist, and two-time Canadian national champion (2023–2024). She is the oldest female figure skater to win a World title in any discipline.
Cathy Reed is a retired American-born Japanese ice dancer. With her brother Chris Reed, she is a seven-time Japanese national champion.

Narumi Takahashi is a Japanese retired pair skater and six-time Japanese national champion. With former partner Mervin Tran, she was the 2012 World bronze medalist, the 2010 Junior World silver medalist, and the 2010–11 Junior Grand Prix Final champion. They were the first pair to win a World medal for Japan. She has also skated with Ryo Shibata, Ryuichi Kihara and Alexandr Zaboev.

With his skating partner, Riku Miura, he is the 2023 Worlds champion, two-time World silver medalist, the 2023 Four Continents champion, the 2024 Four Continents silver medalist, the 2022–23 Grand Prix Final champion, a three-time ISU Grand Prix gold medalist, the 2021 CS Autumn Classic champion, and the 2020 Japanese national champion. They also are silver medalists in the team event at the 2022 Winter Olympics.
Hiroaki Sato is a Japanese retired figure skater. He was named in Japan's team to the 2015 World Junior Championships in Tallinn, Estonia. Sato ranked 17th in the short program, 14th in the free skate, and 15th overall. He has won three senior international medals.

The 2020–21 Japan Figure Skating Championships were held in Nagano, Nagano from December 23–27, 2020. It was the 89th edition of the event. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, and ice dance. The results were part of the Japanese selection criteria for the 2021 World Championships.
Lucas Tsuyoshi Honda is a Japanese figure skater, who currently competes in the pairs discipline with partner, Sae Shimizu. Together, they are the 2024 JGP Turkey bronze medalists and the 2023–24 Japan junior national champions.
The 2022 World Figure Skating Championships were held in Montpellier, France, from March 21–27, 2022. Figure skaters competed for the title of world champion in men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. The competition was used to determine the entry quotas for each federation at the 2023 World Championships.
The 2022–23 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating was a series of senior international competitions organized by the International Skating Union that were held from October 2022 through December 2022. Medals were awarded in men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. Skaters earned points based on their placements at each event and the top six in each discipline qualified to compete at the Grand Prix Final in Turin, Italy. The corresponding series for junior-level skaters was the 2022–23 ISU Junior Grand Prix.
