Bridport is a market town in Dorset, England, 1.5 miles (2.4 km) inland from the English Channel near the confluence of the River Brit and its tributary the Asker. Its origins are Saxon and it has a long history as a rope-making centre. On the coast and within the town's boundary is West Bay, a small fishing harbour also known as Bridport Harbour.
West Dorset was a local government district in Dorset, England. Its council was based in Dorchester. The district was formed on 1 April 1974, under the Local Government Act 1972, and was a merger of the boroughs of Bridport, Dorchester and Lyme Regis, along with Sherborne urban district, and the rural districts of Beaminster, Bridport, Dorchester and Sherborne. In 2006 the district was named 10th best place to live in the UK.

Priory Woods is a 2.94 hectare geological Site of Special Scientific Interest near the town of Bembridge, Isle of Wight, notified in 1998. It is a National Trust property and is served by a public footpath. Concealed within it is "The Priory Oyster" - an oyster bar attached to the Priory Bay Hotel and open only in the height of summer. It has significant recent archaeology with the remains of a sea wall and rusted iron railings. Acheulean hand axes have been found in strata dated from c.400,000 years ago, which would indicate their users were early Neanderthals or late Homo heidelbergensis. The woods overlook Priory Bay and its private beach.
Toller was a railway station on the Bridport Railway in the west of the English county of Dorset. The station served the village of Toller Porcorum. Opened on 31 March 1862, five years after the branch, it consisted of a single platform and modest wooden building.
Bridport East Street was a railway station on the Bridport Railway in the west of the English county of Dorset. Opened on 11 March 1884, before the extension terminus at West Bay, it was just south of the level crossing on the A35 Dorchester to Honiton road, slightly nearer the centre of Bridport than the main station at Bradpole Road. Closed during the First World War and again in 1921, the station closed permanently with the West Bay extension on 22 September 1930, when the Great Western Railway gave up on hopes of creating a resort at West Bay.
West Bay railway station was the terminus of the Bridport Railway in western Dorset, England. In 1879, the Great Western Railway, who held the operating licence for the original Bridport Railway, decided to extend the railway to Bridport Harbour. Construction started in 1883, and the line opened on 31 March 1884. The station was called West Bay by the GWR in order to encourage holiday traffic. The line between West Bay and Bridport closed to passengers in 1930, and operated for goods services only until its final closure in 1962.
Frampton Priory was a Benedictine priory in England, near the village of Frampton in Dorset and mentioned in the Domesday Book. The priory was subordinate to the Abbey of Saint-Étienne, in Caen, Normandy.

Ellingham Priory was a medieval monastic house in Ellingham, Hampshire, England. It was founded by William de Soleres in 1160. It was a cell to the Abbey of Saint-Sauveur-le-Vicomte in Normandy. The church of Ellingham formed part of the grant of William de Solers to Ellingham Priory.

Lyminster Priory was a priory in Lyminster, West Sussex, England. It was a possible Saxon royal minster of Benedictine nuns and was founded or refounded about 1082AD by Roger de Montgomery, Earl of Sussex, who granted land to St. Peter's Abbey, Almenesches. The Priory was dissolved in about 1414AD and is now the Parish Church of St Mary Magdalene.

Bridport Arts Centre is an arts centre in Bridport, Dorset, England. Founded in 1973, it is housed in and around a 19th-century, Grade II listed building, formerly known as the Wesleyan Methodist Chapel. The complex includes the Marlow Theatre, the Allsop Gallery and a cinema.
