British Columbia Lacrosse Association (BCLA) is a sanctioning body in British Columbia, Canada. Empowered by the Canadian Lacrosse Association, the BCLA controls and regulates Minor level, Junior and Senior level box lacrosse and field lacrosse in the province.

Teams from the four BCLA Senior C leagues compete in a post-season provincial championship for the Fred Doig Cup. The award for Most Sportsmanlike Team receive the Dorothy Robertson Trophy.

Select teams compete in an invitational tournament hosted by a member team. [1] Tournament winners are awarded the Treasure Cove Trophy.

When the tournaments coincide, teams which compete for the Fred Doig Cup are allowed just three pickup players.

Canadian Lacrosse Association national governing body of lacrosse

The Canadian Lacrosse Association, founded in 1867, is the governing body of lacrosse in Canada. It conducts national junior and senior championship tournaments for men and women in both field and box lacrosse. National teams also participates in the World Indoor Lacrosse Championship and World Lacrosse Championship.

Founded in Vernon in 1961, the BCHL now includes 17 teams. These teams play in three divisions, known as the Interior, Island and Mainland divisions. The winner of the BCHL playoffs continues on to play the Alberta Junior Hockey League champion in the Doyle Cup for the right to compete in the National Junior A Championship.

Victoria Shamrocks

The Victoria Shamrocks are a Senior A box lacrosse team, based in Victoria, British Columbia. The team competes in the 7-team Western Lacrosse Association (WLA).

Founders Cup

The Founders' Cup is the championship trophy of Canada's Junior "B" lacrosse leagues. The custodial duties of this trophy fall upon the Canadian Lacrosse Association. The national champions are determined through a round robin format with a playdown for the final.

British Columbia Rugby Union

The British Columbia Rugby Union (BCRU) is the provincial administrative body for rugby union in British Columbia, Canada. The BCRU consists of nine sub-unions and 65 clubs. It was originally organized in New Westminster in 1889 where Alfred St. George Hamersley, the former England rugby union captain and recent immigrant to Vancouver, and member of Vancouver Football (Rugby) Club, became the first President. The same man is credited with founding the Amateur Athletic Club of British Columbia. and previously had introduced the game of rugby to the youth of South Canterbury, New Zealand. The current headquarters is on the west side of Vancouver.

Ontario Junior B Lacrosse League

The Ontario Junior B Lacrosse League (OJBLL) is a box lacrosse league sanctioned by the Ontario Lacrosse Association in Canada. The league features twenty-five teams in Ontario, one in Quebec, and one in the Akwesasne that annually play a 20-game schedule and four rounds of playoffs for the J. A. MacDonald Trophy. After the conclusion of the playoffs, a league champion represents the OJBLL at the Founders Cup National Junior B Championship.

Presidents Cup (box lacrosse) lacrosse championship

The Presidents Cup is the national Senior-level box lacrosse championship for the Canadian Lacrosse Association. The annual Championship awards a "Gold", "Silver", and "Bronze" placing. The skill levels have been adjusted in recent years; Senior "B" teams from across Canada now compete for the Presidents Cup. Senior "A" is now represented by Ontario's Major Series Lacrosse and the Western Lacrosse Association, who compete for the Mann Cup.

BC Junior A Lacrosse League

The British Columbia Junior A Lacrosse League is a junior box lacrosse league based in British Columbia, Canada. The BCJALL is one of three leagues that constitute as Junior A within the Canadian Lacrosse Association as the highest level of junior, ages 16 to 21 years old, box lacrosse in Canada. The BCJALL currently consists of eight (8) teams located throughout the Lower Mainland (6) and Vancouver Island (2). Regular Season play begins the last week of April through to the first week of July. Teams compete annually for the British Columbia Provincial Championship, with the winner moving on to play for the Minto Cup, the Canadian National Championship.

West Central Lacrosse League

The West Central Senior Lacrosse League (WCSLL) is a men's Senior C amateur box lacrosse league sanctioned by the British Columbia Lacrosse Association in Canada.

The Thompson Okanagan Junior Lacrosse League (TOJLL) is one of two Junior B Tier 1 box lacrosse leagues sanctioned by the British Columbia Lacrosse Association in British Columbia, Canada. The league champion competes for the British Columbia Junior B Tier 1 Provincial Championship. Teams have competed for the Founders Cup, a national tournament which determines the Canadian Junior B lacrosse champion.

The British Columbia Junior Tier 1 Lacrosse League, or BCJT1LL is a Junior B box lacrosse league based in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, Canada, sanctioned by the British Columbia Lacrosse Association. The league champion competes for the British Columbia Junior B Provincial Championship. Teams have competed for the Founders Cup, a national tournament which determines the Canadian Junior B lacrosse champion.

The BC Hockey Major Midget League or BC MML is the top provincial midget ice hockey league in British Columbia, Canada. Governed by BC Hockey and inaugurated in 2004, the league consists of 11 teams. Players range from 15 to 17 years old. BC MML is part of BC Hockeys' "High Proformance" program to develop the best midget-aged players around the province. The league champion goes on to compete with the top Alberta Midget Hockey League (AMHL) team to represent the Pacific region at the annual Telus Cup, Canada's national midget championship. The Fraser Valley Thunderbirds are the current 2018 champions; the Okanagan Rockets (2014) are the last team to represent the BC MML at the Telus Cup.

West Coast Senior Lacrosse Association

The West Coast Senior Lacrosse Association is a Senior B Canadian box lacrosse league. The teams are located in southwest British Columbia. Champions of the league move on to compete for the Presidents Cup, the Canadian National Senior B championship.

The Ross Cup is the Canadian Senior Division I Field Lacrosse championship. The annual tournament is hosted by the Canadian Lacrosse Association and features men's teams from across Canada. Senior Division II compete for the Victory Trophy.

Harry George Woolley player and builder for the game of box lacrosse

Harry George Woolley was a Canadian player, coach, referee, manager, scout and advocate for the game of lacrosse. He spent 46 years as a builder volunteering in a total of 72 appointments. His career extended to coaching, refereeing and managing lacrosse teams in Francophone & First Nations communities.

The Pacific Northwest Junior Lacrosse League, or PNWJLL is a Junior B Tier 2 box lacrosse league based in British Columbia, Canada, sanctioned by the British Columbia Lacrosse Association. The league champion compete for the British Columbia Junior B2 Provincial Championship. Teams have competed for the Founders Cup, a national tournament which determines the Canadian Junior B lacrosse champion.

Nova Scotia Senior Lacrosse League

The Nova Scotia Senior Lacrosse League(NSSLL) is a Senior B box lacrosse league based in Nova Scotia. NSSLL is sanctioned by Lacrosse Nova Scotia.

The Thompson Okanagan Senior Lacrosse League (TOSLL) is a men's Senior C amateur box lacrosse league sanctioned by the British Columbia Lacrosse Association in Canada. Originally formed in 1994 as the Interior Senior Lacrosse League, the name changed after 1999 to Thompson Xtreme Lacrosse League. Before the 2012 season the league again renamed to the current TOSLL.

West Coast Junior Lacrosse League Junior B box lacrosse league

The West Coast Junior Lacrosse League, or WCJLL is a Junior B Tier 2 box lacrosse league based in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, Canada, sanctioned by the British Columbia Lacrosse Association. The league is one of two Tier 2 Junior B level leagues in British Columbia.
