Broadway Records is a Grammy-winning record label specializing in releasing Broadway and off-Broadway cast recordings, as well as preserving legacy musical theatre and theatre vocalists repertoire. The president and founder is Van Dean. [1]

The label's critically acclaimed "Live at Feinstein's/54 Below" series features Broadway stars including Patti LuPone, Aaron Tveit, Annaleigh Ashford, Norbert Leo Butz, Sierra Boggess, Laura Benanti, Emily Skinner, Alice Ripley, Adam Pascal, Anthony Rapp, Micky Dolenz and many others. [1]

Broadway Records has partnered with the Black Theatre Coalition to create Black Writers Amplified, an album consisting entirely of new works by Black musical theatre writers, a project to immediately take steps toward significantly increased representation of Black writers in musical theatre. Black Writers Amplified will be released in 2021 and act as a resource for artistic directors, producers and other theatre creators to find and support new voices and emerging Black talent. [2]

Broadway Records has a streaming radio service on Dash Radio. [1]

Broadway Records philanthropic endeavors include the "Broadway For Orlando: What The World Needs Now is Love", "We Are The World" by Broadway United and "Broadway Kids Against Bullying: I Have a Voice" music videos, and From Broadway With Love benefit concerts for Sandy Hook, Orlando (Emmy Award for Sound), and Parkland.

He later had supporting roles in the Broadway productions of Bye Bye Birdie in 2009 and War Horse in 2011. He joined Broadway's The Book of Mormon in 2012, replacing Nic Rouleau as the starring role of Elder Price. Following a period of performing Off-Broadway and regionally, which included starring as Anthony Hope in the 2017 Off-Broadway revival of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. He joined the Broadway transfer of the gender-swapped production of Company in 2021 playing the role of Jamie originated by Jonathan Bailey in the West End. Secondhand Lions: A New Musical is based on the 2003 movie of the same name. Music and lyrics for the musical were written by Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner, who also wrote First Date. The book was by Rupert Holmes.

<i>Jagged Little Pill</i> (musical) 2018 rock musical

Jagged Little Pill is a jukebox musical with music by Alanis Morissette and Glen Ballard, lyrics by Morissette, and book by Diablo Cody, with additional music by Michael Farrell and Guy Sigsworth. The musical is inspired by the 1995 album of the same name by Morissette and deals with pain, healing, and empowerment. It premiered at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on May 5, 2018, directed by Diane Paulus.

<i>Six</i> (musical) British musical comedy

Six is a British musical comedy in the style of a pop concert. Its music, book, and lyrics were written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss. It is a modern retelling of the lives of the six wives of Henry VIII, presented in the form of a singing competition. In the show, the wives take turns telling their story to determine who suffered the most from their shared husband, but ultimately seek to reclaim their individual identities and rewrite their stories.

Samantha Megan Pauly is an American actress and singer. She is best known for her role as Katherine Howard in the musical Six at the Lena Horne Theatre on Broadway, as well as for portraying Eva Perón in the revival of Evita at the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre.

Averno was a transmedia franchise and cult, run by Morgan Smith from 2019 to 2021. The franchise spanned across multiple mediums, and was focused primarily on the fictional small town of Averno, Virginia. The Averno universe was created in 2019 by then-20-year-old Morgan Smith, and became fully established in 2020. The planning/development/concept art team grew to more than 60 members all around the world by the end of its run.
