Broken Anatomy was an American funeral doom metal band, [1] originating in Clifton, New Jersey, that is influenced by the bands Evoken, Disembowelment, Dark Castle (band), and Cianide. Broken Anatomy is one of the first doom metal bands to be fronted by an openly LGBT woman. The band has released two studio albums, [2] one demo, [3] [4] and two EPs, [1] [5] [6] [7] and their album The Lazarus Regret features Paul Kuhr of Novembers Doom on guest vocals. [8] [9]
At the Gates is a Swedish death metal band from Gothenburg, formed in 1990. The band was a major progenitor of Gothenburg-style melodic death metal. Prior to their first disbandment in 1996, At the Gates released four albums, ending with and including Slaughter of the Soul (1995), which has been seen as a landmark in the mid-1990s Swedish death metal scene. After reuniting for a one-off tour in 2008, the band reformed once again in 2011, and they have since released three more albums: At War with Reality (2014), To Drink from the Night Itself (2018) and The Nightmare of Being (2021).
Dan-Erland Swanö, also known as Dan "The Man" Swanö, is a Swedish musician and record producer who is currently the vocalist, guitarist, ex-bassist and ex-drummer for the band Nightingale, lately vocalist, keyboardist and drummer for the band Witherscape, as well as the owner of Unisound, but he achieved fame as the vocalist and songwriter of progressive death metal band Edge of Sanity.
Attila Csihar, also sometimes known as Void, is a Hungarian extreme metal vocalist, best known for his vocal work in Norwegian black metal band Mayhem and American drone-doom project Sunn O))). Author Ian Christe describes his vocals as "operatic."
Novembers Doom is an American death-doom band from Chicago, currently signed to Prophecy Productions. Along with Evoken and Rigor Sardonicous, Novembers Doom is one of the earliest American death-doom bands still active today.

Legion of the Damned is a Dutch thrash metal/death metal band. The band was formed in 1992 as Occult, but changed their name in 2006 to Legion of the Damned. Lyrically the band tend to focus on horror motifs, dark occult and religious themes and apocalyptic events. They have recorded their albums Malevolent Rapture and Sons of the Jackal in the well known Stage One Studio with producer Andy Classen. The special edition of their 2008 release Cult of the Dead comes with an item unique in metal merchandising, being a cheese block emblazoned with their logo. This is a nod to their Dutch origins.
Debris Inc. was an American doom metal/punk rock band from Chicago, Illinois, active between 2001 and 2008.
How Like a Winter is a gothic doom metal band from Italy that was formed in the mid-1990s, although their first recording was not until much later. The band's music, which can be described as atmospheric and melancholy, is composed using violins, various classical, acoustic and electric guitars, and features male and female vocalists; the band members all use evocative pseudonyms. Male vocals are both clean and growled, whereas the female duo of Tragedy and Misery are invariably clean. Delicate violins mingle with heavy guitar riffs and are complemented by acoustic guitar solos. The band's music has been likened to that of Paradise Lost, Celestial Season, Novembers Doom, Shape of Despair, and My Dying Bride. Guitarist Mist lists My Dying Bride as a great inspiration, along with Opeth and Katatonia among others.

Paul August Kuhr, III,, is an American musician, vocalist, lyricist, author, and graphic designer. He is the singer and founding member for the band Novembers Doom.
Obsession is an American heavy metal band formed in 1982, and noted for spawning the career of singer Michael Vescera. The band first came on to the scene on the Metal Massacre 2 compilation from Metal Blade Records. After that, the band released the EP Marshall Law and the albums Scarred for Life and Methods of Madness under the Enigma label. They broke up in 1989, and reformed in 2004 and then released the album Carnival of Lies in 2006 with Mausoleum Records.
Akem Manah is an American doom metal band from Eugene, Oregon, formed in 2009. They have released three albums and one EP. Since April 2012, Dead Nedry is the only founding member and the only current member of the band.

Hamartia is the tenth studio album by American extreme metal band Novembers Doom. The album was released on April 14, 2017 via The End Records. It marks the first time in the band's existence to have the same line up on two consecutive albums. Hamartia, in literature, is the flaw in character which leads to the downfall of the protagonist in a tragedy, particularly in ancient Greek ones.
Shadow Sleep is the third studio album from the American metal band Starkill. It was released in 2016 and was their first album featuring vocalist Sarah Lynn Collier, albeit she provided mostly backing vocals on this release.
