Germaine Williams, better known by his stage name Canibus, is a Jamaican-American rapper. He gained fame in the 1990s for his ability to freestyle, and released his debut album Can-I-Bus in 1998. Canibus has released 13 solo studio albums, as well as multiple collaboration albums and EPs with other rappers as a member of the Four Horsemen, Refugee Camp All-Stars, Sharpshooterz, Cloak N Dagga, the Undergods and one-half of T.H.E.M.
Nerdcore is a genre of hip hop music characterized by subject matter considered of interest to nerds and geeks. Self-described nerdcore musician MC Frontalot has the earliest known recorded use of the term in the 2000 song "Nerdcore Hiphop". Frontalot, like most nerdcore artists, self-publishes his work and has released much of it for free online. As a niche genre, nerdcore generally holds to the DIY ethic, and has a history of self-publishing and self-production.

"Niggas in Paris" is a song by American rappers Jay-Z and Kanye West from their collaborative studio album, Watch the Throne (2011). The song was produced by Hit-Boy with West and Mike Dean, while Anthony Kilhoffer contributed additional production. The producers served as co-writers with Jay-Z and Reverend W.A. Donaldson, the latter of whom was credited due to a sample of his work. Jay-Z envisioned the song's concept as how the two obtained their wealth instead of showing it off, using it as a momentary question of their status. Pusha T was originally offered the beat, yet rejected it due to the playful sound. The beat was crafted by Hit-Boy in five minutes and went unused until he was called by Don C, then he provided it for the song. On September 13, 2011, the song was released to US rhythmic and urban contemporary radio stations as the album's fourth single, through Def Jam, Roc Nation, and Roc-A-Fella
Carlos Coleman, better known by his stage name King Los or simply Los, is an American rapper and songwriter from Baltimore, Maryland. He is best known for his affiliation with American rapper Puff Daddy, having frequently served as his ghostwriter and been signed to his label, Bad Boy Records from 2005 until 2008. Coleman re-signed to the label in February 2012, although he departed once more in March 2014. His debut studio album, God, Money, War (2015), was released by RCA Records and entered the Billboard 200; Puff Daddy executive produced the album.

It was released as the second single from Internet Money's debut studio album, B4 the Storm, on August 14, 2020. The song was produced by Internet Money producers Taz Taylor, Nick Mira, Alec Wigdahl, E-Trou, and Pharaoh Vice, who all wrote it with the rappers alongside John Mitchell, Jozzy, and Donny Flores. On September 14, 2022, it was included as the sole bonus track on Nav's fourth studio album, Demons Protected by Angels, which was released five days before. The official music video premiered later the same day as the song on Lyrical Lemonade and followed a SpongeBob SquarePants theme. The first remix of the song added a verse from Toliver along with another verse from fellow American rapper Roddy Ricch, omitting Gunna and Nav; this was released on September 30, 2020, and was included on the complete edition of B4 the Storm.
