The Bronner Bros. Enterprise is one of the largest private African American hair and skin care producers in the United States. Founded in 1947[2] by brothers Dr. Nathaniel H. Bronner, Sr. and Arthur E. Bronner, Sr., Bronner Bros. has over 300 full-time and part-time staff members. The company headquarters is located in Atlanta, Georgia.

Nathaniel and Arthur Bronner, with the help of their sister, Emma Bronner, started Bronner Bros. in 1947 as a way to teach cosmetology at the local YMCA. About 300 people attended the first show but as the attendance grew, it was moved to the Royal Peacock Social Club and then to the Auburn Avenue Casino.[3] In 1967, Bronner Bros. signed a contract with the new Hyatt Regency Hotel and the show was held there annually for the next 20 years. Through the years, the Bronners secured a number of popular guest speakers, including Martin Luther King Jr., Jackie Robinson, Dick Gregory and Benjamin Mays.[4]
With Nathaniel Bronner, Sr's death in 1993, Bernard Bronner took over the company as president and CEO and the trade show has continued to grow by leaps and bounds. In 1996, all Bronner Bros. delegates traveled to Orlando, Florida for a large conference. The annual trade show is now held in the prestigious Georgia World Congress Center. As of 2015, the Bronner Bros. International Beauty Show was the largest gathering of multicultural beauty professionals in the U.S., pulling in 22,000 attendees and 300 exhibitors.[5]
More and more Bronner family members are getting involved in the company. There were two brothers in the first generation of the business,[4] six brothers in the second generation, and the third generation now has 30 members.[6]

Bronner Bros. products are created primarily for the African-American population but the products can be used on all types of hair. Their main product lines include African Royale, BB, Tropical Roots and they also have an All Natural Product line. Bronner Bros. owns and operates two manufacturing facilities, a shipping facility, two beauty stores, a hair weaving studio and a Public Relations office.[3]

The Word of Faith Family Worship Cathedral
Bronner Bros. has not been quiet when it comes to the company's Christian beliefs. One of their most successful organizations is The Word of Faith Family Worship Cathedral in Austell, Georgia, founded by Bishop Dale C. Bronner the son of Nathaniel Bronner (one of the Bronner Bros. founders).[8] The ministry has more than 19,000 members[8] and over five branch ministries which it has birthed.
Under the motto "Reaching the lost, teaching the found," the center provides a number of ministries, including Christian education, Sunday school classes, singles ministry, marriage ministry, prison ministry and the Bronner Business Institute which provides training for those who want to become entrepreneurs. The ministry currently run a school for infant to preschool children called the Seeds of Excellence Christian Academy in Austell, Georgia, blocks away from the Cathedral.[9] Word of Faith recently built a recreation center called The Family Life Center.[10]
The Bronner family also founded The Ark of Salvation Worship Center in Atlanta, GA, which Rev. Nathaniel Bronner, Jr., Rev. Charles Bronner and Rev. James Bronner (The Brothers of the Word) lead.[3] This ministry produces television broadcasts throughout the week as well as some leading online ministries.

Darrow Bronner: Until his death in 2000, was the Show Director and Professional Sales Director for Bronner Bros. He had five children with his wife Jane.[14]
Bishop Dale Bronner: Founder and pastor of the Word of Faith Worship Center. He and his wife Nina Bronner have five children.[15]
Rev. Charles Bronner: Purchasing manager for Bronner Bros. and co-pastor at the Ark of Salvation Church. He and his wife Traci have four children.[3]
Rev. James Bronner: Trade Show Director, Director of technology for Bronner Bros, vice president of Century Systems, Inc., and youth pastor at the Ark of Salvation Church. He and his wife Stephanie have seven children and are co-authors of the marriage book Bedroom Talk.[16][17]
Awards and honors
In 2004, Wal-Mart recognized Bronner Bros. as their top vendor of the year in their annual report. The same year, the largest beauty and barber retailing supplier in the United States, Sally Beauty Supply, also named the company their top vendor of the year.[18]
The Church of God in Christ (COGIC) is an international Holiness–Pentecostal Christian denomination, and the largest Pentecostal denomination in the United States. Although an international and multi-ethnic religious organization, it has a predominantly African-American membership based within the United States. The international headquarters is in Memphis, Tennessee. The current Presiding Bishop is Bishop John Drew Sheard Sr., who is the Senior Pastor of the Greater Emmanuel Institutional Church of God in Christ of Detroit, Michigan. He was elected as the denomination's leader on March 27, 2021.
Charles Edward Blake Sr. is an American minister and pastor who served as the Presiding Bishop and leader of the Church of God in Christ, a 6 million-member Holiness Pentecostal denomination, that has now grown to become one of the largest predominantly African American Pentecostal denominations in the United States, from 2007 to 2021. On March 21, 2007, he became the Presiding Bishop of the Church of God in Christ, Inc., as a result of Presiding Bishop Gilbert E. Patterson's death. In a November 2007 special election, he was elected to complete the unexpired term of his predecessor as Presiding Bishop. In November 2008, Bishop Blake was re-elected to serve a four-year term as Presiding Bishop. In November 2012, Bishop Blake was re-elected again to serve a four-year term as the Presiding Bishop. He was reelected to a third term as Presiding Bishop on November 15, 2016. On October 23, 2020, Bishop Blake announced that he would not seek a re-election as Presiding Bishop nor as a member of the General Board and that he would retire from the Office of Presiding Bishop and from the General Board in 2021. He officially retired on March 19, 2021, and was succeeded by Bishop J. Drew Sheard, Sr. as Presiding Bishop on March 20, 2021.

Historic First Bryan Baptist Church is an African-American church that was organized in Savannah, Georgia, by Andrew Bryan in 1788. Considered to be the Mother Church of Black Baptists, the site was purchased in 1793 by Bryan, a former slave who had also purchased his freedom. The first structure was erected there in 1794. By 1800 the congregation was large enough to split: those at Bryan Street took the name of First African Baptist Church, and Second and Third African Baptist churches were also established. Otis Moss Jr. is an American pastor, theologian, speaker, author, and activist. Moss is well known for his involvement in the Civil Rights Movement and his friendship with both Martin Luther King Jr. and Martin Luther King Sr. He is also the father of Otis Moss III, the current pastor of the famous Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago.
Old North Church (ONC) is in Sierra Madre, California and is a historic landmark building built in 1890, one of the oldest churches and buildings in Sierra Madre. The Old North Church is owned by it builder Sierra Madre Congregational Church, called First Congregational Church of Sierra Madre at the time of completion. It is site #50 on Sierra Madre designated historical landmarks list. There are forty-eight properties listed on Sierra Madre's Designated Historical Properties List. In September 2018 Sierra Madre Congregational Church changed its name to Christ Church Sierra Madre.

The Reverend Harold Mars was a prominent Narragansett Native American Christian preacher in Rhode Island and Upstate New York.
