Brownies is an independent comedy webseries created in 2012 by Farhan Arshad. [1] The series centers around a South Asian protagonist (played by Arshad) who is on a documentary show about families that are trying to get their children married. During its first two months, the pilot episode reached over 178,000 views. [2]

According to Arshad, there are plans to make eight episodes per season, with an aim to do at least three seasons. [3] Arshad said he created the series because he wanted to tell a story from the American Desi perspective. [4]

Futurama is an American animated science fiction sitcom created by Matt Groening for the Fox Broadcasting Company and later revived by Comedy Central, and then Hulu. The series follows Philip J. Fry, who is cryogenically preserved for 1,000 years and revived on December 31, 2999. Fry finds work at the interplanetary delivery company Planet Express, working alongside the one-eyed mutant Leela and the robot Bender. Comedy Nights With Kapil is an Indian Hindi-language sketch comedy and celebrity talk show hosted and produced by comedian Kapil Sharma. It was on-air on Colors TV amid 22 June 2013 to 24 January 2016. Many of the episodes feature celebrity guests who usually appear to promote their latest films in a comedy-focused talk show format. On 25 September 2013, a fire broke out on the sets of the show at Film City in Goregaon causing the entire set to collapse and an estimated loss of 20 Crores. Following the fire, two episodes were shot on sets of Bigg Boss in Lonavla. In September 2013, the show became India's highest rated scripted TV show. At the CNN-IBN Indian of the Year awards, Sharma was awarded the Entertainer of the Year award for 2013.

Disney Channel Storytellers is an annual program run by Disney Channel and It's a Laugh Productions which focuses on discovering and developing new talent in series creators and writers for programs on the channel. The salaried program runs for twenty weeks annually and is open to writers who are professionally represented. Disney Channel Storytellers was launched in 2014.
