Bruce Delaney (born 1953) [1] [2] is a Canadian curler from Ottawa.
Delaney has won the Ontario Silver Tankard several times (including 1976, [3] 1980, 1984, 1986, 1987, 2007, 2010), representing various clubs in Eastern Ontario, but usually representing the Navy Curling Club in Ottawa. [4] He has won the annual City of Ottawa men's bonspiel Grand Aggregate Championship several times. Delaney was a competitive curler in Ontario in the 1970s and 1980s, but never made it to the Brier, Canada's national championship. He came the closest in 1986, when he lost the Labatt's Tankard provincial final against Russ Howard, playing third for Wayne Tallon. [5]
Delaney has found more success as a senior (50+) curler, and is a 3 time provincial senior champion. His Navy rink of George Mitchell, Duncan Jamieson, and Rick Bachand won titles in 2006, 2008 and 2009. [6] They won 2009 Canadian Senior Curling Championships against Russ Howard, now representing New Brunswick. This qualified them to represent Canada at the 2010 World Senior Curling Championships. [7] At the World Seniors they took the Silver Medal, losing in the final to the United States. [8] He also won two Ontario Masters Championships (2016 [9] and 2018) losing the 2018 Canadian final to Ed Lukowich of Alberta. [10]
John C. Morris is a Canadian curler, and two-time Olympic gold medallist from Canmore, Alberta. Morris played third for the Kevin Martin team until April 24, 2013. Morris, author of the book Fit to Curl, is the son of Maureen and Earle Morris, inventor of the "Stabilizer" curling broom. Morris grew up in Gloucester, Ontario and at the age of five began curling at the Navy Curling Club.
Glenn William Howard is a retired Canadian curler who is one of the most decorated curlers of all time. He has won four world championships, four Briers and 17 Ontario provincial championships, including a record eight straight, from 2006 to 2013. He has made 20 Brier appearances, playing in a total of 227 games, the third most of any curler. He has won a career 14 Grand Slams, won the 2001 TSN and 2013 Dominion All-Star Skin Games and the 2010 Canada Cup of Curling.
CurlON is the governing body of curling in Southern Ontario. Northern Ontario is governed by the Northern Ontario Curling Association (NOCA). The CurlON sends a team to represent Team Ontario at all major Canadian Championships. The NOCA sends a separate team to all of these events.
Brent George Laing is a Canadian curler from Barrie, Ontario. He grew up in Meaford, Ontario.
Ryan Bennett Fry is a retired Canadian curler currently living in Pickering, Ontario. He most recently played third on the Mike McEwen team and coached the Rachel Homan team. He currently coaches the Joël Retornaz rink. He previously played third for Team Brad Jacobs, and the team represented Canada and won the gold medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics. The team also won the 2013 Tim Hortons Brier. Fry won a silver medal at the 2013 World Men's Curling Championship.
The Ontario Tankard is the Southern Ontario provincial championship for men's curling. The winner represents Team Ontario at the Montana's Brier. The tournament is overseen by CurlON.
Bryan Cochrane is a Canadian curler from Russell, Ontario. Cochrane is most notable for winning the 2019 World Senior Curling Championships for Canada, and skipping team Ontario at the 2003 Nokia Brier and later team PEI at the 2020 Tim Hortons Brier.
John Allan Epping is a Canadian curler from Toronto, Ontario. He currently skips his own team out of the Leaside Curling Club in East York, Toronto.
Mark Bice is a Canadian curler. He used to skip a team on the World Curling Tour. He won the Ontario Tankard in 2014 and represented the province at the 2014 Tim Hortons Brier.
James Grattan, nicknamed "Jimmy the Kid" is a Canadian curler from Oromocto, New Brunswick. He currently skips his own team.
Mathew Robert "Mat" Camm is a Canadian curler from Cornwall, Ontario. He currently plays third on Team Scott Howard. Camm is originally from Rockland, Ontario.
Howard John "Howie" Rajala is a Canadian curler from Kanata, Ontario. He curls out of the Rideau Curling Club. In 2023 his rink won the World Senior Curling Championships for Canada.
Braeden Moskowy is a Canadian curler from Regina, Saskatchewan. He is a former Canadian junior curling champion and a six-time Brier competitor.
Wayne Tallon is a Canadian curler from Fredericton, New Brunswick. He is the 2013 Canadian Senior champion skip and 2014 World Senior champion skip.
