Bruce Hodgdon (born [ when? ]) served as a Republican member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 2013 until 2017 from Northwood. He was a member of the legislative committee on transportation. [1]

Daniel Hodgdon was a college administrator,better known for his series of science books for young people. He was born on April 13,1885 in Winthrop,Maine. He was a co-founder and later the President of New Jersey Institute of Technology from 1918 until 1920. In 1920 he became the president of Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital and then Valparaiso University in Indiana. He resigned abruptly from Valparaiso on April 25,1921,telling the trustees that "The university is a hotbed of Bolshevism,communism and other cults,and nothing we could do to thwart their propaganda has been of any avail because of inside influences."
The Hodgdon Homestead Cabin was built by Jeremiah Hodgdon in 1879 in the Aspen Valley area of what became Yosemite National Park. The two-story log cabin,measuring 22 feet (6.7 m) by 30 feet (9.1 m),was located in an inholding in the park,owned by Hodgdon's descendants. In the 1950s the family proposed to demolish the structure. The National Park Service acquired it and moved it to its Pioneer Yosemite History Center at Wawona,where the restored cabin is part of an exhibit on early settlement and development of the Yosemite area. In addition to housing Hogdon,the cabin housed workers on the Great Sierra Wagon Road in the 1880s,as a patrol cabin for U.S. Army troops who managed the new national park in the 1890s,and as a historic landmark at the old Aspen Valley Resort.

John Hodgdon was an American politician and farmer. The Hodgdon family were primarily farmers;his grandfather owned a significant tract of land in then disputed Aroostook County. John Hodgdon's grandfather died in 1819 and left his grandson the land,which eventually became the town of Hodgdon. His inheritance helped him attend Phillips Exeter Academy and Bowdoin College,from which he graduated in 1827. After Bowdoin,he moved to Bangor,Maine to study law under prominent area lawyer Allen Gilman. In 1833,he was a member of the Executive Council of Maine and from 1834 to 1838 he was a Land Agent for the state.
The 1983 Warner W. Hodgdon Carolina 500 was a NASCAR Winston Cup Series race that was scheduled to be held on Sunday,March 6,1983,at North Carolina Motor Speedway in Rockingham,North Carolina. The race started on its scheduled date but the overcast skies opened up with steady rain soon after 100 laps were completed,forcing the race to be stopped for the day. The race concluded one week later on March 13,a pleasant sunny day.
