Bryce Lance is an American college football wide receiver for the North Dakota State Bison.
Lance grew up in Marshall, Minnesota and attended Marshall Senior High School. [1] He set school career records with 68 receptions and 1,766 receiving yards. [2] Lance committed to play college football at North Dakota State. [3]
Lance redshirted his true freshman season at North Dakota State. [4] He played primarily on special teams as a redshirt freshman and sophomore. [5] Lance caught one pass for seven yards during his redshirt sophomore season. [6] He was named a starting receiver for the Bison entering his redshirt junior year. [7] Lance was named first-team All-Missouri Valley Football Conference at the end of the regular season. [8]

Lance's older brother, Trey, also played college football at North Dakota State and was the third overall selection in the 2021 NFL draft. [9] His father, Carlton, played cornerback for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL) and the London Monarchs of the World League of American Football (WLAF). [10]

The Bison play in the 19,000-seat Fargodome located in Fargo. The Bison have won 18 national championships and 38 conference championships. They have won 10 NCAA Division I AA FCS National Championships between 2011 and 2024. The Bison hold the record for most overall NCAA national championships and the record for the most consecutive championships with five titles between 2011 and 2015 for Division I FCS.
The North Dakota State Bison are the athletic teams of North Dakota State University (NDSU), which is located in the city of Fargo, North Dakota. The teams are often called the "Thundering Herd". The current logo is a bison.
The Nickel Trophy is a trophy that was presented to the winner of the annual football game between the rival University of North Dakota (UND) Fighting Hawks and the North Dakota State University (NDSU) Bison. The two universities are approximately 76 miles apart on the eastern border of North Dakota. The two schools suspended play in 2003 before meeting again in 2015, with annual games resuming in 2019. In the entire history of the rivalry, the game has never been contested anywhere beside Grand Forks or Fargo.

Trey Aubrey Lance is an American professional football quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the North Dakota State Bison, where he received the Walter Payton and Jerry Rice Awards as a freshman en route to winning the 2020 NCAA Division I Football Championship Game. Lance was selected third overall by the San Francisco 49ers in the 2021 NFL draft, but limited play and injuries led to him being traded after two seasons to the Cowboys.
Jabril Cox is an American professional football linebacker for the Arlington Renegades of the United Football League (UFL). He was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL draft. He played college football for the North Dakota State Bison, where he won three FCS championships and was named the MVFC defensive player of the year before playing the 2020 season with LSU. Cox has also been a member of the Washington Commanders.
