Brymir is a Finnish melodic death metal/symphonic metal band from Helsinki founded in 2006. [1]
They were formed in the summer of 2006 during a music summer camp under the name LAI LAI HEI (named of the Ensiferum track of the same name). After the win of a camp-competition covering the Ensiferum track "Token of Time", the band quickly became more serious and started to compose their own music under the current name Brymir. Their first album Breathe Fire to the Sun (2011) still held some folk metal influences, but the band has moved away from these influences in their music towards their current melodic death metal / symphonic metal sound from their second album Slayer of Gods (2016) onwards.
Death metal is an extreme subgenre of heavy metal music. It typically employs heavily distorted and low-tuned guitars, played with techniques such as palm muting and tremolo picking; deep growling vocals; aggressive, powerful drumming, featuring double kick and blast beat techniques; minor keys or atonality; abrupt tempo, key, and time signature changes; and chromatic chord progressions. The lyrical themes of death metal may include slasher film-style violence, political conflict, religion, nature, philosophy, true crime and science fiction.
A number of heavy metal genres have developed since the emergence of heavy metal during the late 1960s and early 1970s. At times, heavy metal genres may overlap or are difficult to distinguish, but they can be identified by a number of traits. They may differ in terms of instrumentation, tempo, song structure, vocal style, lyrics, guitar playing style, drumming style, and so on.
Amon Amarth is a Swedish melodic death metal band from Tumba, formed in 1992. The band takes its name from the Sindarin name of Mount Doom, a volcano in J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth. Their lyrics mostly deal with Viking mythology and history, and so they have been sometimes erroneously labeled "Viking metal", although the band insists they play melodic death metal.

Spiritual Black Dimensions is the fourth studio album by Norwegian symphonic black metal band Dimmu Borgir. It was released in 1999 by Nuclear Blast Records. A deluxe edition was released in 2004 with bonus material. There is also a digipak edition of this album which contains no bonus tracks. The digipak has reflective/holographic cover art. This release featured keyboardist Mustis and the clean vocals of ICS Vortex, as well as the departure of long-time drummer Tjodalv, guitarist Astennu, and bassist Nagash.
Theatres des Vampires is an Italian gothic metal band, mostly noted for the predominant theme of vampirism within their lyrics. The band's early material was credited as melodic black metal or symphonic black metal, but the group completely abandoned all black metal influence by the mid-2000s. Theatres des Vampires have released eleven full-length albums.
Dragonheads is the debut EP by Finnish folk metal band Ensiferum. It was released on 15 February 2006 by Spinefarm Records. It is the first Ensiferum release featuring the then recently hired members Petri Lindroos, Sami Hinkka and Janne Parviainen. Mastered at Finnvox Studios. Warrior's Quest and White Storm are the re-recordings of songs from the band's second demo. Finnish Medley is a medley of the Finnish traditional pieces Karjalan kunnailla, Myrskyluodon Maija, and Metsämiehen laulu.

Formed in 1993 as Inearthed, the final line-up of the group upon their split in 2019 consisted of Alexi Laiho, Jaska Raatikainen (drums), Henkka Seppälä (bass), Janne Wirman (keyboard), and Daniel Freyberg. Battle Beast is a Finnish heavy/power metal band established in Helsinki in 2008 by Anton Kabanen, Juuso Soinio and Pyry Vikki. The initial line-up consisted of guitarists Soinio and Kabanen, and drummer Vikki, who were high school friends. The rest of the original lineup, bassist Eero Sipilä, keyboardist Janne Björkroth and lead singer Nitte Valo, joined the band after auditions.

Zero is the fourth studio album of the Finnish doom metal band KYPCK. It was released on 16 September 2016 under the label Ranka Kustannus. The album debuted at the Finnish official list in 20th place.
Revolutions is the debut album by Finnish rock band Blind Channel. The album was released on 1 October 2016, with recording starting in October 2015 with the help of Jonas Olsson, and ended a year later. The album consists of 11 songs, one of which is the cover of the song "Don't" by Ed Sheeran. The album received generally positive reviews, with Finnish publications such as Soundi and KaaosZine giving it high praise, among other review sources.
Violent Pop is the third album by Finnish violent pop band Blind Channel, released on 6 March 2020. The first song for the album was the track, "Over My Dead Body", recorded in the summer of 2018. From that moment on, Blind Channel began writing new material. In December 2019, the band announced that the recording of their album had been completed, taking just under a year and a half to finish. Produced by Jonas Olsson, who also worked on the band's two previous albums, Revolutions and Blood Brothers. In addition, Jakob Hansen, a Danish musician behind the Volbeat hits, also took part in the album's recording. In total, around twenty demos were selected for the album, but only eleven were chosen and ended up in the final release.
