Mebane is a city located mostly in Alamance County, North Carolina, United States, and partly in Orange County, North Carolina. The town was named for Alexander Mebane, an American Revolutionary War general and member of the U.S. Congress. It was incorporated as "Mebanesville" in 1882, and in 1883 the name was changed to "Mebane". It was incorporated as a city in 1987. The population as of the 2010 census was 11,393. Mebane is one of the fastest growing municipalities in North Carolina. Mebane straddles the Research Triangle and Piedmont Triad Regions of North Carolina. The Alamance County portion is part of the Burlington Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is a component of the Greensboro-Winston-Salem-High Point Combined Statistical Area. The Orange County portion is part of the Durham-Chapel Hill Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is a component of the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill Combined Statistical Area.

The Percy W. Bridgman House is an historic house located at 10 Buckingham Place in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It is a National Historic Landmark, notable for its associations with Dr. Percy Williams Bridgman, a physicist, Nobel Prize winner, and Harvard University professor. It is now part of the Buckingham Browne & Nichols (BBN) Lower School campus.
Wycombe is an unincorporated community mainly in Wrightstown Township but also in Buckingham Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, United States. Founded in the 1890s when the Northeast Pennsylvania Railroad opened a line through the county, it was called "Lingohocken" by local residents, but the post office was named "Wycombe" to prevent confusion with the post office in Wingohocken. The Lingohocken Fire Company, located on the edge of town, retains this older name. The New Hope and Ivyland Railroad still owns the rail line through the town, and, having finished restoring the former Reading Company station building in 2011, intends to restore service through Wycombe. They also store some of their original passenger cars last used in the 1970s adjacent to the station.
The Buckingham House and Industrial School Complex is a historic trade school complex located near Buckeystown, Frederick County, Maryland. It consists of thirteen buildings associated with a trade school for boys from poor families that operated from 1898 to 1944. The complex centers on a 3-story dormitory building built for the school, but also includes the late 18th-century Federal style Buckingham House. The surrounding farm was, uniquely for the area, irrigated. Bordering the Monocacy River, the grounds include several significant late Woodland period archeological sites.

It is one of the few known Woodland period village sites in the coastal marsh areas of the Atlantic Coast section of Maryland. The site falls within the general vicinity of an Assateague Indian town. It is located four miles east of the Sandy Point Site, both including the southernmost reported occurrence of Townsend Series ceramics on the coastal section of the Eastern Shore.

It was built in 1909-1910, and is a three-story, "U"-shaped, Tudor Revival style brown-red brick building with limestone trim. It features four-sided turrets framing the three-bay entrance facade with loggia and oriel windows.

Paul Lawrence Dunbar School is a historic school building located in the Templetown neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was designed by Irwin T. Catharine and built in 1931-1932. It is a four-story, 14 bay, orange brick building on a raised basement in the Moderne-style. It features ribbon bands of windows, brick pilasters with compound capitals, and spandrel panels. It was named for African American poet and author Paul Laurence Dunbar (1872-1906).
