Buffalo Sunn are a cosmic-rock band from Dublin, Ireland. Signed to Reekus Records, [1] they released their debut album, 'By The Ocean By The Sea' on 10 October 2014, which has garnered critical praise from Irish media. [2] [3] They are in production for their next album, due out in 2016.

By The Ocean By The Sea

Buffalo Sunn's first album, By The Ocean By The Sea, was released on 10 October 2014 on Reekus Records. The album was produced by Grammy winning producer Pat McCarthy. [4] The album debuted on the Irish indie album charts at #2, and the overall album charts at #14. [5] Both The Irish Times and The Irish Daily Star gave the album 4 out of 5 stars, with The Irish Times complimenting the band's "strong, intuitive sense of West Coast US music." [3]

The album was released in Germany, Austria and Switzerland on 30 January 2015 via Rough Trade Distribution/Brainstorm. [6] The U.S. release of the album was on 15 June 2015, and it was released worldwide on 15 September 2015. [7]

Live Shows

The band has performed at multiple music festivals over the world, including Music Matters in Singapore, CMJ Music Marathon in the USA, Oxegen, Electric Picnic and Hard Working Class Heroes in Ireland. [8] They have developed a reputation as an impressive live act with Today Online (Singapore) writing "Buffalo Sunn endeared themselves to lovers of reverb-drenched country-folk coming across like a post-punk version of Crosby Stills & Nash, resplendent with their angelic harmonies." [9] In February 2015 they embarked on a tour of Germany to promote the release of their album in the country. [4]

The band followed their German tour with a tour of the United States in March and April 2015, kicking off at South By Southwest in Austin, Texas and playing dates across the West Coast as part of the Passport Approved Spring 2015 Tour. [10] [11] They completed their tour with an appearances at A&R Worldwide's Musexpo in Los Angeles, California. [12]

Therapy? Northern Irish rock band

Therapy? are a Northern Irish rock band from Larne, formed in 1989 by guitarist-vocalist Andy Cairns and drummer-vocalist Fyfe Ewing. Therapy? recorded their first demo with Cairns filling in on bass guitar. To complete the lineup, the band recruited Larne bassist Michael McKeegan. The band signed with major label A&M Records in 1992, for which they released four albums, most notably Troublegum in 1994 and Infernal Love in 1995. Ewing's departure in early 1996 preceded the arrivals of his replacement Graham Hopkins, and Martin McCarrick on cello and guitar. Neil Cooper replaced Hopkins on drums in 2002. Following the departure of McCarrick in 2004, the band have remained a stable three-piece since.

Delorentos are a Dublin-based Irish alternative rock band, formed in 2005. They consist of Rónan Yourell, Kieran McGuinness, Níal Conlan and Ross McCormick. The band's debut album In Love with Detail was critically acclaimed in Ireland, being nominated for the Choice Music Prize and in the Best Irish Album category at the 2007 Meteor Awards, at which Delorentos were also nominated for Best New Irish Band. Two extended plays have also been released; their debut release, titled Leave It On, in October 2005, and the follow-up EP, titled Do You Realise, came out in November 2007. The Delorentos discography consists of a selection of singles which impacted on the Irish Singles Chart, such as "The Rules" in May 2006 and "Stop" in July 2007.

Jape are an Irish electronic–rock band from Dublin. Formed as a side project by Richie Egan whilst part of The Redneck Manifesto, they have released five albums to date; Cosmosphere (2003), The Monkeys in the Zoo Have More Fun Than Me (2004), Ritual (2008), Ocean of Frequency (2011), and This Chemical Sea (2015). Jape's wider discography includes the EP, Jape is Grape (2007), as well as a number of singles, including "Floating" and "Phil Lynott". The Strypes

The Strypes were a four-piece rock band from Cavan, Ireland, formed in 2010 consisting of Ross Farrelly, Josh McClorey, Peter O'Hanlon and Evan Walsh (drums). The band played the local scene with various members switching parts as they searched for their sound. They drew inspiration from 1960s blues boom and 1970s pub rock bands such as Dr. Feelgood, Eddie and the Hot Rods, The Rolling Stones, The Yardbirds, Lew Lewis and Rockpile as well as the original bluesmen and rock 'n' roll artists such as Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Howlin' Wolf and Little Walter, among others.

Le Galaxie were an electronic music band based in Dublin, Ireland. Their debut album Laserdisc Nights II was released in 2011, followed in 2012 by Fade to Forever EP and the single "Love System", which was nominated for the Choice Music Prize 'Song of the Year' They announced the end of the band via Twitter in December 2019.
