Carinthia, also Slovene Carinthia or Slovenian Carinthia, is a traditional region in northern Slovenia. The term refers to the small southeasternmost area of the former Duchy of Carinthia, which after World War I was allocated to the State of Slovenes, Croats and Serbs according to the 1919 Treaty of Saint-Germain. It has no distinct centre, but a local centre in each of the three central river valleys among the heavily forested mountains.

It includes the hamlets of Graben to the west, which partially lies in the valley of Sračjak Creek, and Žalce, just above the Sotla River.

It is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Lower Sava Statistical Region. Javor is a settlement in central Slovenia. It lies in the hills east of the capital Ljubljana and belongs to the City Municipality of Ljubljana. It is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now included, with the rest of the municipality, in the Central Slovenia Statistical Region. In addition to the main settlement, it also includes the hamlets of Brezovar, Lanišče, Roje, Žagarski Vrh, Zavrharji, and Sevšek.
Katarija is a settlement in the hills south of Moravče in central Slovenia. The area is part of the traditional region of Upper Carniola. It is now included with the rest of the Municipality of Moravče in the Central Slovenia Statistical Region. In addition to the main settlement, it includes the hamlets of Vrh Svetega Miklavža and Grmače.
Bezenškovo Bukovje is a settlement in the Municipality of Vojnik in eastern Slovenia. It lies in the hills east of Frankolovo off the main road from Vojnik to Slovenske Konjice. The Municipality of Dravograd is a municipality in northern Slovenia, on the border with Austria. The seat of the municipality is the town of Dravograd. The Drava River runs through the middle of the municipality. Most of its territory is part of the traditional Slovenian province of Carinthia, but a large southern and eastern part of its territory is part of the traditional Slovenian province of Styria. It is also part of the larger Carinthia Statistical Region.
Sveti Miklavž is a former settlement in the Municipality of Moravče in central Slovenia. It is now part of the villages of Hrib nad Ribčami, Katarija, Spodnji Prekar, Velika Vas, Zalog pri Kresnicah, and Zgornji Prekar. The area is part of the traditional region of Upper Carniola. The municipality is now included in the Central Slovenia Statistical Region.
