Burandt Lake is a lake in Carver County, Minnesota, bordering the city of Waconia. [1] It is 97 acres in size and approximately 24 feet deep at its deepest point. [2] It was named for Adolph Burandt, a local farmer. [3]

The lake once was characterized by high levels of phosphorus that caused algae blooms, a situation that became the subject of remediation efforts that were underway by 2016. [4]

Lake Onalaska Reservoir

Lake Onalaska is a reservoir located on the Black River and Mississippi River between Wisconsin, and Minnesota. It is approximately 4 miles (6.4 km) across, and is the widest point on the Mississippi River. Located in La Crosse County in the state of Wisconsin, its latitude and longitude are 43°52′01″N091°18′26″W. The lake is 7,688 acres (31.11 km2) and is shored by the city from which its name came from: Onalaska, Wisconsin. It sits at an altitude of 633 feet and is 43 feet (13 m) deep at its deepest.

Lake Jefferson (Minnesota)

Lake Jefferson is a lake in Le Sueur County, Minnesota, United States. The lake covers an area of 1,141 acres (4.62 km2) and is 37 feet (11 m) deep at its deepest point. Fish species enzootic to Lake Jefferson include bluegill, largemouth bass, northern pike, and walleye. Heading west from Wayzata the first 13 miles are in Hennepin County, Minnesota, and the next 13.5 miles are in Carver County, Minnesota. Along the way it runs through many towns including Spring Park and St. Bonifacius.

Lojsta Lakes

The Lojsta Lakes are five lakes in Lojsta and Stånga sockens, Gotland, Sweden. The names of the lakes are Bjärsträsk, Fridträsk, Rammträsk, Slottsträsk and Broträsk. Their outflow is in the Storkanalen at Kvarnåkershamn on southweetsern Gotland. Four of the lakes are connected by manmade canals. The Gutnish word for lake is träsk.
