Byron Ariel Bustamante Gamboa (born 3 February 1995) is a Chilean footballer who plays as a midfielder for Cobreloa.

Club career

Born in San Vicente de Tagua Tagua, Chile, [1] Bustamante was trained at Escuela de Fútbol (Football Academy) Daniel Fabbiani from his hometown and O'Higgins. He made his professional debut with San Antonio Unido in the Segunda División Profesional de Chile in 2015. [3] [4] After two seasons with Magallanes, he got regularity with General Velásquez in 2018. [5] [6]

In 2019, Bustamante joined Deportes Puerto Montt for two seasons. [7] [8] In 2021, he signed with Santiago Wanderers in the Chilean Primera División. [9] He was loaned out to Deportes Temuco in August 2021 [10] [11] and Deportes Santa Cruz in 2023. [12]

In 2024, Bustamante returned to Deportes Temuco. [13] The next season, he switched to Cobreloa. [1] [14]

Personal life

He is the son of the football manager César Bustamante. [15]
