History

CAFU was founded in 2018 by Rashid Al Ghurair. [5] [6]

In 2020, the company spearheaded a campaign to provide complimentary fuel to Dubai ambulances for a period of two weeks. [7] Since starting operations in November 2018, the company has expanded its fuel delivery operations to Oman. [8]

In 2021, CAFU launched the Ghaf Tree Project, to re-green barren ecosystems across the Emirates by planting one million Ghaf tree seeds. [9] [10] [11]

In 2023, CAFU declared its venture into Canada with a mobile EV charging, prototype mobile EV charging vehicle is a Ford E-Transit van outfitted with a charging station, batteries, and a mobile app. [12] [13]

In 2019, Nakheel CEO Sanjay Manchanda and Rashid Al Ghurair signed a deal with CAFU, for boat owners in Palm Jumeirah. [14] [15]

Partnerships

In Oct 2023, CAFU signed an agreement with Shell Markets Middle East, announcing them as their preferred lubricants partner. [16] [17]

In 2021, CAFU and Quebec-based Institute of Vehicle Innovation (IVI) collaborated and tested its mobile EV chargers in Montreal city [18]

In 2021, CAFU and Ford Partnership revealed a new strategic alliance aimed at Refuelling experience. [19] [20]

Almas Tower is a 68-storey, 360 m (1,180 ft), supertall skyscraper in the Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Construction of the office building began in early 2005 and was completed in 2008 with the installation of some remaining cladding panels at the top of the tower. The building was topped out in 2008, and became the tallest building in Dubai until 2009 when it was surpassed by Burj Khalifa.

The government of Dubai took a decision to diversify from a trade-based, oil-reliant economy to one that is service and tourism-oriented. This has made real estate and other developments more valuable, thus resulting in a property boom from 2004 to 2006. Construction on a large scale has turned Dubai into one of the fastest-growing cities in the world. There are a number of large-scale projects which are currently under construction or are to be constructed in the future. Due to the heavy construction which is taking place in Dubai, 30,000 construction cranes, which are 25% of cranes worldwide, are operating in Dubai. Due to the burst of construction, Dubai has acquired various building-related records, which include: the world's tallest tower, the world's largest shopping mall, the world's largest fountain and the world's tallest hotel. Also under construction is Dubailand, which will be almost twice the size of the Walt Disney World Resort.

The Palm Monorail is a monorail line on the Palm Jumeirah island in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is operated by the UK-based Serco. The monorail connects the Palm Jumeirah to the mainland, with a planned further extension to the Red Line of the Dubai Metro. The line opened on April 30, 2009 as the Palm Jumeirah Monorail. It is the first monorail in the Middle East.

Dubai is situated on the Persian Gulf coast of the United Arab Emirates and is roughly at sea level. Careem is a Dubai-based super app with operations in over 70 cities, covering 10 countries across the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia regions. The company, which was valued at over US$2 billion in 2018, became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Uber after being acquired for $3.1 billion in January 2020. Careem expanded into the food delivery business with Careem Now in November 2018, which evolved into Careem Food as well as the rapid grocery delivery service Careem Quik in 2020, and launched a digital payment platform, Careem Pay in April 2022. In April 2023, Careem's Super App business was spun out into a new legal entity, which e& acquired a 50.03% stake in, while Uber maintains full ownership of Careem's ride-hailing business. The Super App currently offers 20 digital services in the UAE including ride-hailing, food, grocery, micromobility, DineOut, and a subscription-based service - Careem Plus, amongst others.
