CAFU is a global energy delivery and vehicle services company, that operates in major cities of United Arab Emirates. [1] [2]

History

CAFU was founded in 2018 by Rashid Al Ghurair. [3] [4]

In 2021, CAFU announced its expansion into Abu Dhabi in a bid to grow further in the UAE. [5]

In 2021, CAFU launched the Ghaf Tree Project, to re-green barren ecosystems across the Emirates by planting one million Ghaf tree seeds. In 2023, in line with the launch of the 2022 ESG report, CAFU announced the use of unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) technology. [6] [7] [8]

The company appointed a new advisory board in 2022 to support the management team on its continued growth journey, The members of the advisory board include James Babb, formerly of Deloitte and KPMG, Cenk Serdar, with an investment track record in 150 tech startups, and Fares Akkad, who heads META Middle East and North Africa. [9]

In 2023, CAFU announced its expansion into Canada with a mobile EV charging, The first prototype mobile EV charging vehicle is a Ford E-Transit van outfitted with a charging station, batteries, and a mobile app. [10] [11]

Partnerships

In Oct 2023, CAFU signed an agreement with Shell Markets Middle East, announcing them as their preferred lubricants partner. [12] [13]

In 2021, CAFU and Quebec-based Institut of Vehicle Innovation (IVI) collaborated and tested its mobile EV chargers in Montreal city [14]
