Clube Desportivo Candal is a Portuguese sports club from Candal, Vila Nova de Gaia.

The men's football team played on the fourth tier in the 2009–10 and 2010–11 Terceira Divisão, and also played in the Taça de Portugal the same seasons.

The Museo de la Historia de Ponce is a museum located in the historic Casa Salazar-Candal in the city of Ponce, Puerto Rico. The museum depicts the city's ecology, economy, architecture, government, and elements of daily life. It seeks to promote the research, conservation, and dissemination of the historic heritage of Ponce and Puerto Rico.

The 2009–10 Taça de Portugal was the 70th season of the Taça de Portugal. The competition began on 30 August 2009, with the first round matches, and concluded with the final, held on 16 May at the Estádio Nacional, in Oeiras, between defending champions Porto and then Liga de Honra team Chaves. Porto won 2–1 to take their second consecutive cup, and assuring a place in play-off round of the 2010–11 UEFA Europa League.

Casa Salazar-Candal Historic house in Ponce, Puerto Rico

Casa Salazar-Candal is a historic building located on the southeast corner of Isabel and Mayor Cantera streets in Ponce, Puerto Rico, in the city's historic district. The building dates from 1911. It was designed by the architect Blas Silva. The architecture consists of 19th Classical revival, Art Nouveau and Spanish Revival architectural styles. Today the Salazar–Candal Residence houses the Museum of the History of Ponce.

The Taça de Portugal is an annual association football competition and the premier knockout tournament in Portuguese football. For sponsorship reasons, it has been known as Taça de Portugal Placard as of the 2015–16 season. Organised by the Portuguese Football Federation since it was first held in 1938, the competition is open to professional and amateur clubs from the top-four league divisions. Matches are played from August–September to May–June, and the final is traditionally held at the Estádio Nacional in Oeiras, near Lisbon. The winners qualify for the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira and the UEFA Europa League.

The Oporto Cricket and Lawn Tennis Club is a sports and social club located on Campo Alegre in Porto, Portugal. Principally aimed at, and founded by, British people working in Porto, the club has a long history going back to 1855. At that time it was called the Oporto Cricket Club and the grounds were situated at Candal in Vila Nova de Gaia, south of the River Douro. It is the oldest cricket club on mainland Europe. In 1877 three tennis courts were built and the name of the club was changed to the Oporto Cricket and Lawn Tennis Club. In 1923 the present grounds were acquired.
