Christiana Jade de Silva-Ong (born August 1, 1987) is a Filipino art director, painter, illustrator and graphic designer. [1] She was known as a "Gifted Child" and a "Promil Kid", being featured in an infant formula ad in 1998. [2] [3] She had three major one-woman exhibits and now a senior art director.

Background

De Silva was born in Manila and was raised in the city of Malabon. She studied high school in St. Scholastica's College Manila.[ citation needed ] And in 2008, she graduated magna cum laude from the University of the Philippines Diliman College of Fine Arts, with a degree in Visual Communication.[ citation needed ]

De Silva had three major one-woman exhibits and participated in many group art shows through the years.

Illustration and Graphic Design

Cj de Silva has illustrated the 2006 First Prize awardee in the Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature, Ang Ikaklit sa Aming Hardin, written by Bernadette Villanueva Neri. [12] [13] [14] She has also designed and illustrated the album art of itchyworms' fifth studio album After All This Time. [15] [16] [17] de Silva has also illustrated some fictional gig posters as part of the marketing campaign for Quark Henares' film Rakenrol. Cj de Silva's illustrations were also featured in Esquire Philippines. She is also known for painting and illustrating on sneakers and became one of Keds Philippines ambassadors. [18] [19]

Advertising

Right after graduating from college, de Silva started working in TBWA-Santiago Mangada Puno. Being part of the Creative team, she has won a few advertising awards. She was part of the team that won the Philippines' first Webby Award for the internet film entitled "A Toy Love Story That Will Make You Cry". [20]

Panday (comics) Comics character

The Panday is a fictional Philippine comics character created by writer Carlo J. Caparas and artist Steve Gan. His stories were first serialized in the comic series Ang Panday in Pilipino Komiks during the late 1970s. The character, whose real name is Flavio, became a Philippine pop culture icon since it was adapted to film in 1980 with Fernando Poe Jr. portraying Flavio and Max Alvarado as his archenemy Lizardo. Zsazsa Zaturnnah is a fictional comic book superheroine created by Filipino illustrator and graphic designer Carlo Vergara. The character first appeared in the Filipino graphic novel, Ang Kagila-gilalas na Pakikipagsapalaran ni Zsazsa Zaturnnah, originally a self-published work in December 2002 consisting of two parts. It was later distributed and merged in a single volume by Visprint Inc.. The graphic novel won a National Book Award in 2003 given by the Manila Critics Circle. It was the 12th bestselling fiction book among Philippine publications in 2005 based on the records of National Book Store.

Victoria "Vicky" Torres Morales-Reyno is a broadcast journalist from the Philippines. She is best known for being one of the anchors of GMA Network's early evening newscast 24 Oras with Mike Enriquez and Mel Tiangco as well as for being the host of the Saturday afternoon documentary-drama show Wish Ko Lang! For hosting Wish Ko Lang!, she got the "Best Public Service Program Host" award during the 29th PMPC Star Awards for Television in 2015 given by the Philippine Movie Press Club. She previously anchored Saksi, the late news program of GMA Network, from 1999 to 2014. In GTV, she hosts a magazine news program entitled Good News Kasama si Vicky Morales, which was started in 2011 when GTV was previously known as GMA News TV.

Josefino Cenizal was a Filipino actor, director, and composer from Tanza, Cavite. In 1937, he began to direct music films at Parlatone-Hispano Films, which is where his musical career began. In 2010, he received the Dangal ng Filscap Award. His career spanned from the late 1930s to the 1970s. He is famous for adapting "Ang Pasko Ay Sumapit" in 1938 with lyrics provided by Levi Celerio from the original Cebuano Christmas carol entitled "Kasadya Ning Taknaa" composed by Vicente D. <i>San Lazaro</i> (film) 2011 Filipino film

San Lazaro is a Filipino horror film written and directed by Wincy Aquino Ong, starring Ramon Bautista, Wincy Aquino Ong, Nicco Manalo, Bianca King, Ely Buendia, Julia Clarete, Earl Ignacio, Kean Cipriano and Allan Forte. It is produced by Watusi Productions and Ramon Bautista Films. The film premiered in Cinemalaya 2011 as one of the finalists for the NETPAC Category.

The 7107 International Music Festival was a two-day outdoor international music festival that took place in Global Gateway Logistics City in Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga, Philippines.
