Jack Bushnell Hanna is a retired American zookeeper and a director emeritus of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. "Jungle Jack" was director of the zoo from 1978 to 1992, and is viewed as largely responsible for elevating its quality and reputation. His media appearances, particularly with David Letterman, James Corden, Good Morning America, and Maury Povich have made him one of the most notable animal experts in the United States. The 2021 documentary The Conservation Game alleged that Hanna participated in the mistreatment and private trade of exotic and endangered animals. Following the release of the documentary, it was publicly announced that he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease; he also stopped making public appearances.

Meade was a former Miss Ohio and began her broadcasting career with local stations in Ohio. She joined HLN in 2001. She won a regional Emmy Award. Otterbein University is a private university in Westerville, Ohio. It offers 74 majors and 44 minors, as well as eight graduate programs. The university was founded in 1847 by the Church of the United Brethren in Christ and named for United Brethren founder the Rev. Philip William Otterbein. As a result of a division and two mergers involving the church, it has been associated since 1968 with the United Methodist Church. In his later years, DeMoss served on the Franklin County Board of Commissioners from 1989 to 1992.
