The Club Cafetaleros de Chiapas Premier was a team that played in the Liga Premier in Tapachula, Chiapas, Mexico and was the official reserve team for Cafetaleros de Chiapas.

History

In May 2019, Cafetaleros moved from Tapachula to Tuxtla Gutiérrez, the team left its original city for sports and urban infrastructure issues in order to aspire to the promotion to Liga MX. [1] On May 30 the team was presented to the public, it was announced the creation of a team for the Liga Premier de México based in Tapachula. [2]

The team was created from Ocelotes UNACH, a club that played in the Liga PremierSerie B, the board sought to continue with a squad based in Tapachula that can return to Ascenso MX later. [3]

On June 26, 2020, the main team of Cafetaleros de Chiapas was relocated to Cancun and renamed as Cancún F.C., [4] following this move, the Liga Premier team became the club's primary team, so it was relocated from Tapachula to Tuxtla Gutiérrez. [5] This was considered as the disappearance of this team, to continue with the history of the main squad.

Chiapas F.C. Reserves and Academy

Chiapas Fútbol Club Reserves and Academy is the feeder team of Mexican football club Chiapas. In 2008-09 season the team relegated from Primera División A. It was based in Tapachula, Chiapas but moved to Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas during the 2008–09 season. The team previously known as Potros D.F. before 2003. The team relegated in 2004 to Segunda División de México. In 2005-06 season based in Zamora, Michoacán.

The Serie A has 25 teams divided into two groups. For the 2020–21 season, it will be one long tournament consisting of 26 total matches played home and away. The top 4 teams from each group at the end of the season will play for promotion to Liga de Expansión MX provided that their stadiums meet the requirements to ascend.

Chiapas F.C. Mexican association football club

Chiapas Fútbol Club, commonly known as Jaguares de Chiapas, was a football club based in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Mexico, that played in the Mexican football league system Liga MX. The team played their home matches at the Estadio Víctor Manuel Reyna.

Club de Fútbol Cafetaleros de Chiapas is a Mexican football club based in the city of Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas currently competing in Liga Premier de México, the third tier of Mexican football. Between 2015 and 2020, the team played at Ascenso MX, the second tier of Mexican football. On June 26, 2020, the club's main squad was relocated to Cancún and renamed as Cancún F.C., however, Cafetaleros de Chiapas kept the team registered in Liga Premier, which is affiliated with Cancún F.C.

Cancún Futbol Club is a Mexican professional football team based in Cancún, Quintana Roo currently playing in Liga de Expansión MX. The club was established in June 2020 after the Cafetaleros de Chiapas franchise announced that it would be moving to the city of Cancún.

The 2020–21 Liga Premier de México season is the third-tier football league of Mexico. The tournament began on 18 September 2020.
