Miss America's Outstanding Teen is an American scholarship pageant. It is the sister program to the Miss America Organization, and it aims to "promote scholastic achievement, creative accomplishment, healthy living and community involvement for America's teens." In order to be eligible to compete, participants must first compete and win at the local level and then win the state title. The competition consists of several parts of competition which consists of an eight-minute interview in front of a panel of judges, talent, lifestyle and wellness, evening wear, and an on-stage question. All competitors must be girls between the ages of 13 and 18 years of age.
The Miss Alabama competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Alabama in the annual Miss America Competition.
The Miss Arizona competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Arizona in the Miss America pageant. Arizona has twice won the Miss America title. The first Miss Arizona, Anna Marie Barnett, was crowned in 1938.
The Miss Virginia competition is a scholarship pageant for women, with the titleholder representing Virginia in the Miss America pageant. The competition was founded in 1953 as a scholarship contest for young women, although women had represented Virginia in the Miss America pageant since the 1930s. The Miss South Dakota competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the U.S. state of South Dakota in the Miss America pageant.
The Miss Alabama's Outstanding Teen competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the U.S. state of Alabama in the Miss America's Outstanding Teen pageant.
The Miss Washington's Outstanding Teen competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the U.S. state of Washington in the Miss America's Outstanding Teen pageant. The competition is held each May in Burien, Washington and consists of four categories; private interview, lifestyle and wellness, talent, evening gown and on stage question.
Miss America 2015, the 88th Miss America pageant, was held at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Sunday, September 14, 2014. Miss America 2014, Nina Davuluri crowned the winner, Miss New York, Kira Kazantsev, making it the third consecutive year that a Miss New York won the Miss America crown; New York thus became the first state to have a Miss America winner three years in a row.
The Miss Virginia's Outstanding Teen competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the Commonwealth of Virginia in the Miss America's Outstanding Teen pageant. The pageant is held each June at Bergland Center in Roanoke, Virginia during the same week as the Miss Virginia pageant.

Savannah Morgan Lane is an American beauty pageant titleholder from Midlothian, Virginia, who was crowned Miss Virginia 2015. She competed for the Miss America 2016 title in September 2015 and placed in the top 15.
Courtney Paige Garrett is an American beauty pageant titleholder from Pamplin City, Virginia, who was chosen as Miss Virginia's Outstanding Teen 2009 and crowned Miss Virginia 2014. She competed for the Miss America 2015 title in September 2014 and was named first runner-up.
Autumn Simunek is an American beauty pageant titleholder from Hot Springs, South Dakota, who was named Miss South Dakota's Outstanding Teen 2007 and crowned Miss South Dakota 2015. She competed for the Miss America 2016 title in September 2015 and placed outside the Top 15.
McKensie Lane Garber is an American beauty pageant titleholder from Hale, Missouri, who was named Miss Missouri's Outstanding Teen 2011 and crowned Miss Missouri 2015. She competed for the Miss America 2016 title in September 2015.

Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2008 was the 3rd Miss America's Outstanding Teen pageant held at the Linda Chapin Theater in the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida on August 11, 2007. At the conclusion of the event, Maria DeSantis of Texas crowned her successor Caitlin Brunell of Virginia. The pageant was hosted by Miss America 2007 Lauren Nelson and performer Billy Flanigan.
The Miss America 2019 pageant/competition was the 92nd Miss America pageant, though the Miss America Organization celebrated its 98th anniversary in 2018. This discrepancy is due to national pageants not being held from 1928–1932 or in 1934 because of financial problems associated with the Great Depression. The 2019 competition was held in Atlantic City, New Jersey. On May 23, 2018, it was announced that the pageant would air live on ABC on Sunday, September 9, 2018. This was the last Miss America to be aired on ABC before would be moving to NBC beginning from 2020 pageant.
The Miss West Virginia's Outstanding Teen competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the U.S. state of West Virginia in the Miss America's Outstanding Teen pageant.
Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2020 was the 14th annual Miss America's Outstanding Teen pageant held in Orlando, Florida on July 27, 2019. The preliminary competition was held on July 23-25, 2019.
