Calah Francine Lane (born April 20, 2009) is an American actress and singer. [1] She was born in Irving, Texas and started performing as an actress as a 4-year-old. [2] She had minor parts in commercials, short movies and episodes of television series, before being cast as the young Laurel in the TV drama This Is Us (2021). [3] Her breakthrough was the role as main character Noodle opposite Timothée Chalamet in Wonka (2023), directed by Paul King. [2] in which she was nominated for a Critics' Choice Award for Best Young Actor/Actress. [4] and for a NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding Youth Performance in a Motion Picture. [5]

Based on the origin story of Willy Wonka, a character in the 1964 novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl, the film stars Timothée Chalamet in the lead role who leads an ensemble cast. The album features seven original songs composed by Neil Hannon and written by King and Farnaby, further accompanied by the cues from the original score composed by Joby Talbot. The songs are performed by the cast members, including Chalamet (in his singing debut). The soundtrack was released by WaterTower Music on 8 December 2023.
