Srinagar is a city in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir in the disputed Kashmir region. It is the largest city and summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, which is an Indian-administered union territory. It lies in the Kashmir Valley along the banks of the Jhelum River, and the shores of Dal Lake and Anchar Lakes, between the Hari Parbat and Shankaracharya hills. The Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ), is a collegiate public state university, located in Jammu in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is a cluster of five colleges of the Jammu city and five Schools. It was established in 2016 under The Srinagar and Jammu Cluster Universities Act, 2016 together with Cluster University of Srinagar under the initiative of the centrally sponsored scheme, RUSA. Cluster University of Jammu along with Cluster University of Srinagar was inaugurated by Prakash Javadekar, then Minister of HRD, Government of India on 17 April 2017.
