Cameron Millar (born 13 July 2002) is a New Zealand rugby union player who plays for Otago in the National Provincial Championship (NPC). His playing position is first five-eighth (fly-half).

Early life

Millar attended Gore High School and Otago Boys' High School. [1] Millar moved to Dunedin in 2019. [2] He has played club rugby for Taieri RFC. [3]

Rugby career

Millar was signed by Otago for the 2021 Bunnings NPC season. [4] He made his debut on 31 October in a non-competition match scoring 21 points in a 33–28 win against Wellington. [3] On 5 November he made his NPC debut in a 27–25 loss away to Waikato. [5]

In 2021 Millar played for the Highlanders under-20 team. [6]

The National Provincial Championship (NPC) is an annual round-robin rugby union competition in men's domestic New Zealand rugby. The Otago Rugby Football Union is the official governing body of rugby union for the Otago region of New Zealand. The union is based in the city of Dunedin, and its home ground is Forsyth Barr Stadium. The top representative team competes in the ITM Cup, New Zealand's top provincial competition. The union was to have been liquidated in March 2012. However a deal involving the Dunedin City Council allowed it to keep operating. Otago have won the Ranfurly Shield on seven occasions.
